摘要: An adsorption device for compressed gas or a non-compressed gas, is provided with a vessel with an inlet for the supply of a compressed gas or a non-compressed gas to be treated, and an outlet for treated gas and an adsorption element is affixed in the vessel. The adsorption element extends along the flow direction of the compressed gas or the non-compressed gas to be treated, between the inlet and the outlet. The adsorption element has a monolithic supporting structure that is at least partially provided with a coating that contains an adsorbent.

摘要: A lithium ion sorbent includes an organosilane-grafted lithium ion sieve. The organosilane-grafted lithium ion sieve is a reaction product of a lithium ion sieve and an organosilane. The lithium ion sieve is either a delithiated orthosilicate or a delithiated metal oxide. The organosilane reagent is of the general formula: R1—(CH2)n—Si—R43 where R1 is an organic moiety containing a functional group selected from an acrylate, methacrylate or vinyl group or their derivatives, R4 is either a hydrolysable alkoxy group or a methyl group, where at least one of the three R4 groups is a hydrolysable alkoxy group and n is 1-3. This lithium ion sorbent is durable and useful for adsorbing lithium from aqueous resources. The lithium ion sorbent can also be used in the manufacture of a composite material where the organosilane-grafted lithium ion sieve is covalently incorporated into a porous crosslinked polymeric support scaffold.

The filter apparatus comprises a housing with an extraction media comprised of polymer coated carbon cores. Also provided are methods of treating a subject with cancer of an organ or region comprising administering a chemotherapeutic agent to the organ or region, collecting blood laded with chemotherapeutic agent from the isolated organ, filtering the blood laden with chemotherapeutic agent to reduce the chemotherapeutic agent in the blood and returning the blood to the subject.

摘要: A method for preparing a core-shell structure polymer magnetic nanosphere with a high Cr (VI) adsorption capacity includes: adding Fe3O4 powder into a mixed solution of water and ethanol, dispersing Fe3O4 powder in the solution evenly by ultrasound, sequentially adding resorcinol and formaldehyde into the suspension to adjust a pH, stirring and reacting to obtain Fe3O4@RF evenly dispersed in a chitosan solution, dropwise adding the prepared suspension into a mixed solution of paraffin and span 80, stirring for a period of time, adding a glutaraldehyde aqueous solution, stirring and reacting to obtain a magnetic chitosan nanosphere. The magnetic chitosan nanosphere prepared may be applied to adsorbing Cr (VI) in a water solution. Not only the magnetic chitosan nanospheres prepared has a high adsorption capacity for Cr (VI), but also can be quickly separated by an external magnetic field after adsorption.
