    摘要: A coolant pump housing for an internal combustion engine includes a cover having integral supports for an ignition module. Each ignition module support projects outwardly to define an elongated member having a mounting end defining a bore sized to receive fasteners for securing an ignition module. Preferably, the coolant pump cover is cast of aluminum. The cover further a pump cavity in fluid communication with inlet and outlet passageways having respective ports for communication of coolant through the coolant pump and the rest of the cooling system.

One embodiment of the assembly 30 comprises: (a) a housing 32 having opposed upper and lower mounting surfaces 34/36 and an outer surface 38 about the housing, and N bore(s) 42 through the housing, wherein each bore has an upstream port 44 defined in the upper mounting surface 34 and a downstream port 54 defined in the lower mounting surface 36; (b) an electronic control module 60 for controlling one or more sub-systems of the engine; and (c) means 70 for attaching the electronic control module 60 to the outer surface 38 of the housing 32.

    摘要: A heat exchanger module, a cooling fan module, a pump/fan module, and an electronics system control module are joined together in assembly to form a total cooling assembly for an automotive vehicle that is powered by an internal combustion engine. The cooling fan module is disposed directly behind the rear face of the radiator, and contains an electric motor-driven fan that draws ambient air across the radiator. At time of installation in a vehicle, the assembly is "dropped into" the vehicle engine compartment and secured in place. An electric motor-driven coolant pump module that pumps engine coolant through the engine and radiator, and an electronics system control module that controls the operation of the fan and pump motors also mount on the cooling fan module. When the vehicle has an air conditioning system, and/or turbo-charged engine, one and/or two additional heat exchangers form part of the heat exchanger module. The cooling fan module may comprise an axial flow fan or a ducted radial flow fan.

The apparatus includes an information detector that is configured to detect information for operating the cooling fan and a blower assembly including a motor driving the cooling fan and a resistor adjusting a speed of the motor. A relay unit is configured to selectively supply power to the blower assembly. A connecting unit includes a high speed connector that is directly connected to the motor, a low speed connector that is connected to the motor via the resistor, and a ground connector that connects the motor to a ground. Additionally, a controller is configured to operate the relay unit based on the information detected by the information detector.
