    摘要: A cooling apparatus includes a coolant passage provided in a device to be cooled. The coolant passage is configured in such a manner that coolant passes through the coolant passage. The coolant passage includes a wall surface, first ribs, and second ribs. The first ribs and the second ribs are provided on at least a part of the wall surface. The first ribs protrude from the wall surface toward inside of the coolant passage and extend in a first direction. The second ribs protrude from the wall surface toward the inside of the coolant passage and extend in a second direction crossing the first direction. The first ribs and the second ribs are disposed alternately when viewed in at least one direction.

    摘要: There is provided a water cooled engine including a cylinder head with minimized thermal strain.A head water jacket includes an inter-exhaust-port-wall water channel between a first exhaust entrance port wall and a second exhaust entrance port wall. A cylinder head includes a cooling water injection passage provided at a bottom wall of the cylinder head. The cooling water injection passage is positioned on the exhaust end side, and includes a passage entrance provided on the exhaust end side, and a passage exit directed toward the inter-exhaust-port-wall water channel. An exhaust port wall includes a heat dissipation fin extending from a first exhaust entrance port wall toward an exhaust end. The space between the heat dissipation fin and a second exhaust entrance port wall forms a water channel entrance of the inter-exhaust-port-wall water channel.

The coolant channels (8, 9, 10, 11, 12) are arranged in the incident or surrounding flow region of the spark/glow plug (6) and injection valve (7) to run at a substantially acute angle in the flow direction toward the spark/glow plug (6) and injection valve (7).

A valve train of a single overhead camshaft (SOHC) type provided with an intake valve and an exhaust valve is provided in the cylinder head. A line extending parallel with a joint between the cylinder head and the cylinder head cover is inclined forward and downward toward a line parallel with a joint between the cylinder block and the cylinder head. An axis of an exhaust valve and/or an axis of a plug tube is/are perpendicular to the line extending parallel with the joint between the cylinder head and the cylinder head cover. A cylinder head hanger is integrally formed at an uppermost end of a rear portion of the cylinder head over an intake port.
