Abstract: An object is to provide a methane synthesis device having as a whole a reduced size and a simplified configuration. A methane synthesis device 100 is composed of respective components from an end plate 2 at the leftmost side to an end plate 23 at the rightmost side and is compactly assembled by fastening plural bolts and nuts to bring these individual components into tightly contact with each other. The components may be divided into a Sabatier reaction unit of signs 3 to 9, a water electrolysis unit of signs 13 to 19, and other components. Hydrogen gas generated in the water electrolysis unit is mixed with carbon dioxide gas and supplied to the Sabatier reaction unit, and methane is synthesized in the Sabatier reaction unit. The size of the device is reduced as a whole and configuration is simplified by integrally stacking the water electrolysis unit, the Sabatier reaction unit, a carbon dioxide supplying unit, and a hydrogen gas supplying unit.

Abstract: An exhaust gas purification device that allows suppressing an increase in pressure loss is provided. The exhaust gas purification device of the present disclosure includes a honeycomb substrate and an inflow cell side catalyst layer. The substrate includes a porous partition wall which defines inflow cells and outflow cells extending from an inflow side end to an outflow side end. The inflow cell side catalyst layer is disposed on a surface on the inflow cell side in an inflow cell side catalyst region from an inflow side end to a position close to an outflow side end of the partition wall. The permeability of a portion including an outflow side region from the position to the outflow side end of the partition wall is higher than a gas permeability of a portion including the inflow cell side catalyst region of the partition wall and the inflow cell side catalyst layer.

Abstract: [Summary][Problem]The problem addressed by the present invention lies in providing an exhaust gas purification filter which can efficiently treat particulate matter in exhaust gas.[Solution]The present invention provides an exhaust gas purification filter including a substrate comprising a plurality of porous partitions, wherein the partitions form an exhaust gas flow path, a porous catalytic layer is provided on the partitions and the catalytic layer having a thickness of 10 μm or greater is provided over at least 20% of the total length of the partitions in the lengthwise direction thereof, and the catalytic layer having a thickness of 10 μm or greater is not present on the partitions 15 mm from an outflow side.

Abstract: To be able to produce an SCR catalyst (2), in particular one having a zeolite fraction (Z) as catalytically active fraction, in a reliable process and at the same time achieve good catalytic activity of the catalyst (2), an inorganic binder fraction (B) which is catalytically inactive in the starting state and has been treated to develop catalytic activity is mixed into a catalyst composition (4). The inorganic binder component for the binder fraction (B) is, in the starting state, preferably porous particles (10), in particular diatomaceous earth, which display mesoporosity. To effect catalytic activation, the individual particles (10) are either coated with a catalytically active layer (12) or transformed into a catalytically active zeolite (14) with maintenance of the mesoporosity.
