Abstract: An apparatus for mold remediation on a building roof. A porous, stretchable tube includes two opposing folding end elements. Many mold remediation particles are contained within the tube. The porous, stretchable tube is made of a weather resistant material having multiple material openings so as to allow moisture to penetrate to the mold remediation particles while being sized smaller than the mold remediation particles so as to retain them in the tube.

Abstract: A method for producing a stable microbicidal composition. The method comprises steps of: (a) combining a glycol solvent of formula R(OCH2CHR1)nH, wherein R is C1-C6 alkyl and n has a number average value from 2 to 5 and R1 is hydrogen or methyl; dodecylbenzenesulfonic acid in an amount from 0.3 to 1.8 wt % based on the entire microbicidal composition; and a copper (II) salt selected from the group consisting of copper (II) hydroxide, copper (II) carbonate and mixtures thereof to form an initial mixture; wherein a mole ratio of copper:dodecylbenzenesulfonic acid is from 1:0.25 to 1:1.95; (b) maintaining the initial mixture at 40 to 80° C. until an amount of copper ion in solution is stable; and (c) adding 4,5-dichloro-2-n-octyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one to produce a final mixture.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an aqueous agrochemical spray solution containing an agrochemical active and a surfactant. The spray solution comprises a dispersed phase comprising dispersed particles which have an average particle size between 1 to 100 microns and the concentration of said dispersed particles is from about 0.001 to 5 wt %. The aqueous agrochemical spray solution is capable of reducing the volume of the fine droplets in mist whose size is less than 150 microns during spraying by at least 20% compared to the same aqueous spray solution without the presence of the surfactant. The present invention also relates to a method of reducing the spray drift of an aqueous agrochemical spray solution upon spraying with a spraying apparatus. The method includes adding the surfactant to the aqueous agrochemical spray solution in an amount effective to form the dispersed phase.

Abstract: Antimicrobial metal ion coatings and implants including them. In particular, described herein are coatings including an anodic metal (e.g., silver and/or zinc and/or copper) that is co-deposited with a cathodic metal (e.g., palladium, platinum, gold, molybdenum, titanium, iridium, osmium, rhodium, manganese, niobium or rhenium) on a substrate so that the anodic metal is galvanically released as antimicrobial ions when the apparatus is exposed to a bodily fluid. The anodic metal may be at least about 25 percent by volume of the coating, resulting in a network of anodic metal with less than 20% of the anodic metal in the coating fully encapsulated by cathodic metal. The implant may be configured as an implant such as a bone-screw or intramedullary rod-like body configured to receive a treatment cartridge having a coating as described.
