The compositions and methods provide a composition that forms a protective capsule around at least a portion of a crop that delays bud break and increases plant cold-hardiness by at least about 0.5° C., and up to about 10° C. or more.

The particles include polymeric carrier material dispersed throughout the particle and active ingredient dispersed throughout the particle. The polymeric carrier material can be biodegradable, and one example is a cellulose ester. Exemplary active ingredients include an insecticide, a fungicide, and a pesticide. In some instances, the plurality of particles have an average diameter of 25 nm to 5 μm. Exemplary suspensions may be applied to plant surfaces.

摘要: A method of antibacterial and antiviral surface treatment of flexible cover sheet materials includes: providing a flexible cover sheet substrate; depositing at least one lower support layer on the upper surface of the substrate; providing an antibacterial and antiviral formulation comprising a liquid active sanitizing composition dispersed in a solvent containing a polymer-based solution; depositing the formulation on at least one lower support layer to form an upper antibacterial and antiviral active layer; heating the cover substrate to cause evaporation of the solvent of an upper active layer. The active sanitizing composition contains silver chloride and solid-state titanium dioxide of nanometric size and is intended, to inhibit proliferation of bacterial and viral pathogens on the surface of the substrate, while keeping the properties of the materials thereof unaltered.

摘要: The present invention relates to a multilayer protective mask having antimicrobial properties, said mask comprising a body portion comprising: at least a first and a second fabric layers having random fiber configuration; a middle layer comprising a nanofiber membrane; and a third and a fourth fabric layers. The first fabric layer is disposed between the third fabric layer and the nanofiber membrane, and the second fabric layer is disposed between the fourth fabric layer and the nanofiber membrane. The first, the second, the third, and the fourth fabric layers have incorporated therein a synergistic combination of at least two metal oxide powders, comprising a mixed oxidation state oxide of a first metal and a single oxidation state oxide of a second metal, said combination having synergistic antimicrobial properties.
