Abstract: The present invention relates to a liquid carrier concentrate comprising at least one beneficial microorganism selected from the group consisting of Bacillus, Streptomyces, Beauveria, Trichoderma, Metarhizium, Paecilomyces, Isaria, Baculovirus, Azospirillum, Penicillium and Rhizobium and at least one specific solvent. The present invention also relates to an agricultural active formulation obtainable by diluting or dispersing said liquid carrier concentrate. The invention also concerns a method for treating soils, plants and/or seeds to control pests and/or to regulate the growth of plants and/or to induce the defense response in plants and/or to enhance metabolic and physiological processes within plants and soils, by applying the liquid carrier concentrate or the agricultural active formulation.

Abstract: Pesticidal protein exhibiting toxic activity against Lepidopteran and Hemipteran pest species are disclosed, and include, but are not limited to, TIC2199. DNA constructs are provided which contain a recombinant nucleic acid sequence encoding the disclosed pesticidal protein. Transgenic plants, plant cells, seed, and plant parts resistant to Lepidopteran and Hemipteran infestation are provided which contain recombinant nucleic acid sequences encoding the pesticidal proteins of the present invention. Methods for detecting the presence of the recombinant nucleic acid sequences or the protein of the present invention in a biological sample, and methods of controlling Lepidopteran and Hemipteran species pests using TIC2199 pesticidal protein are also provided.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a composition comprising a) recombinant exosporium-producing Bacillus cells that express a fusion protein comprising: (i) at least one plant growth stimulating protein or peptide and (ii) a targeting sequence that localizes the fusion protein to the exosporium of the Bacillus cells; and b) at least one particular insecticide disclosed herein in a synergistically effective amount. Furthermore, the present invention relates to the use of this composition as well as a method for enhancing plant growth, promoting plant health, and/or reducing overall damage of plants and plant parts.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an ovitrap and a method of controlling mosquito populations. The ovitrap includes a container, a cover, and a dividing mechanism for dividing the container into two regions, which in use are filled with water, and which communicate via an opening such that a first volume below the dividing mechanism defines a larvae trapping region, and a second volume above the dividing mechanism defines an egg receiving region A light source having a cool, white spectra with two peaks is mounted above the container and positioned to direct light downwards at a water surface, such that the larvae move in a direction away from the light source, from the second volume into the first volume below the dividing mechanism via the opening. A gating mechanism is operatively linked to the light source for opening and closing the opening.
