    摘要: A transmission for a work machine is disclosed. The transmission has a source of pressurized fluid, a low pressure reservoir, a plurality of hydraulically actuated clutches, a first plurality of valve mechanisms, and a second plurality of valve mechanisms. Each of the first plurality of valve mechanisms is associated with one of the plurality of hydraulically actuated clutches and configured to selectively fill and drain the associated one of the plurality of hydraulically actuated clutches. Each of the second plurality of valve mechanisms is associated with one of the plurality of hydraulically actuated clutches and configured to selectively fill and drain the associated one of the plurality of hydraulically actuated clutches. The transmission also includes a master latch mechanism in fluid communication with only the second plurality of valve mechanisms. The master latch mechanism is configured to selectively affect movement of the second plurality of valve mechanisms in response to an electrical power failure.

    摘要: In an automatic transmission having a clutch and a gear type transmission, when it is determined that a driver has an intention to stop a vehicle, the clutch is disengaged and the gear type transmission is changed to its neutral position. Thereafter, the clutch is held in its disengaged state, and when an accelerator opening amount is greater than or equal to a predetermined value, the gear type transmission is changed to gear according to a vehicle speed to engage the clutch. Under a condition such that a drive has an intention to decelerate the vehicle, when it is determined that an engine is in an idle-up state and when it is detected that the vehicle speed is less than a predetermined value, changing of the gear type transmission to its neutral position occurs. Whether or not the engine is in the idle-up state is determined by the amount of fuel injection. In a multi-stage transmission in which a range type sub transmission is connected to a main transmission and, changing of the sub transmission takes place while the main transmission is held in its neutral position, during a vehicle stopping if changing operation of the sub transmission is not completed within a predetermined time lapse, a determination is made that a batting state occurs in the sub transmission to start the changing of gear by the main transmission.

    摘要: An electrohydraulic clutch includes a bi-directional electric motor, a hydraulic circuit and a multiple plate friction clutch pack. The bi-directional electric motor drives a ball screw through a gear reduction assembly. The ball screw output translates a master piston of the hydraulic circuit which in turn advances and retracts an annular sleeve piston disposed adjacent the friction clutch pack. Hence, actuation of the electric motor displaces hydraulic fluid and compresses or relaxes the friction clutch pack, thereby transferring or inhibiting torque.

The eccentric curve changes the stroke ration between the pedal stroke and the connector rod stroke as the pedal is depressed. Designers can simply and efficiently vary the stroke ratio as desired by selecting an appropriate curve for the actuator surface.

    摘要: A vehicle safety device includes a seat mounted within a passenger compartment of the vehicle, in which the seat is movably connected to a vehicle frame by a seat position adjusting mechanism that allows the seat to move along an axis between a forward-most position and a rearward-most position. An air-bag is mounted within the passenger compartment in front of the forward-most position of the seat, with the forward-most position of the seat defined as a position of the seat in which a distance between a passenger seated in the seat and the air-bag is equal to a minimum safe clearance. In addition, an exemplary method of maintaining a minimum safe clearance between an air-bag mounted in a vehicle and a vehicle passenger includes the steps of preventing motion of a seat toward the air-bag beyond a forward-most position, in which, when in the forward-most position, a passenger seated in the seat is separated from the air-bag by a predetermined minimum safe clearance, and providing a position adjusting mechanism for at least one vehicle control pedal to allow a passenger seated in the seat to adjust a distance between the seat and the at least one pedal by moving the at least one pedal toward and away from the seat. An automatic seat positioning system, which takes into account both seat to air-bag distance and eye height and automatically, may be used to optimally and automatically position a passenger to maximize safety and comfort.
