摘要: A traffic signal analysis system can receive image data from one or more cameras of an autonomous vehicle, where the image data includes a traffic signaling system located at an intersection. The traffic signal analysis system can determine a pass-through action for the autonomous vehicle through the intersection, and access a matching signal map that includes characteristic information indicating properties of the traffic signaling system. Based on the characteristic information and the image data, the traffic signal analysis system can identify a state of the traffic signaling system for the pass-through action, and generate an output for the autonomous vehicle indicating the state of the traffic signaling system for the pass-through action.

摘要: In a device to detect a drive country in which a subject vehicle is located, a control section acquires correspondence information which shows a relationship between traffic signs and a degree of installation reliability of a traffic sign in each country as a drive country candidate in which the subject vehicle is located. The degree of installation reliability of each traffic sign indicates a degree of installation reliability located in each country. The control section acquires matching information which represents whether a traffic sign located around the subject vehicle matches the traffic sign stored in the correspondence information. The control section reads the degree of installation reliability of the traffic sign indicated by the matching information in each country stored in the correspondence information, and estimates, as the drive country in which the subject vehicle is driving, the country having a maximum degree of installation reliability of the traffic sign read from the correspondence information.

摘要: A vision system for a vehicle includes a forward viewing camera that has a field of view through the windshield of the vehicle and is operable to capture image data. An image processor is operable to process image data captured by the forward viewing camera. Responsive at least in part to processing of captured image data, a road characteristic of a road along which the vehicle is traveling is detected. Responsive at least in part to processing of captured image data, other vehicles exterior the equipped vehicle are detected. Responsive at least in part to processing of captured image data, road curvature of the road along which the equipped vehicle is traveling is determined. Responsive at least in part to processing of captured image data, a school bus stopping signal of a school bus present within the field of view of the forward viewing camera may be detected.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided for autonomously navigating a vehicle along a road segment. In one implementation, a system includes at least one processor programmed to receive from a camera at least one image representative of an environment of the vehicle. The at least one image may be analyzed to identify at least one recognized landmark based upon one or more landmark group characteristics associated with a group of recognized landmarks. The current location of the vehicle relative to a predetermined road model trajectory associated with the road segment may be determined based, at least in part, on a predetermined location of the recognized landmark. An autonomous steering action for the vehicle may be determined based on a direction of the predetermined road model trajectory at the determined current location of the vehicle relative to the predetermined road model trajectory.

摘要: A system for classifying different types of sheeting materials of road signs depicted in a videostream compares estimated retroreflectivity values against known minimum retroreflectivity values for each of a plurality of colors. Once a road sign has been identified in the videostream, the frames associated with that road sign are analyzed to determine each of a plurality of colors present on the road sign. An estimated retroreflectivity for each of the plurality of colors present on the road sign is then determined. By comparing the estimated retroreflectivity for each of the plurality of colors against known minimum retroreflectivity values for the corresponding color for different types of sheeting materials, an accurate determination of the classification of the sheeting material of the road sign is established. Preferably, certain conditions of gross failure of the sheeting material are filtered out before classification of the sheeting material is determined.
