    Abstract: Disclosed subject matter relates to paraphrasing multimedia content including a method and system for generating a contextual summary of multimedia content. A contextual summary generator retrieves the multimedia content comprising scenes from a multimedia content database and generates scene descriptors, describing a scene, for each scene. Further, an emotion factor is identified in each scene based on each scene descriptor, each speech descriptor and each textual descriptor associated with each of the one or more scenes. Upon identifying the emotion factor, a context descriptor indicating context of each scene is generated for each scene based on analysis of each emotion factor and non-speech descriptors. Finally, the scene descriptors, textual descriptors and context descriptors are correlated based on a dynamically configured threshold value to generate the contextual summary of the multimedia content that saves precious time and efforts instead of watching or hearing the entire multimedia content that may be redundant.

    Abstract: A particular implementation determines color palettes of images by extracting and decomposing color palettes based on the image color content. The decomposition can produce a dictionary matrix, an activation matrix, or both. The dictionary matrix can be used in recoloring an image, either directly or after storing. Another implementation selects a color palette to recolor an image by accessing metadata associated with the image and estimating a scene type based on the metadata and/or other information. Color palettes are retrieved from memory corresponding to the scene type of the image and are used for recoloring the image. Instructions for the implementation can be stored on a non-transitory computer readable medium such that the embodiments can be implemented by one or more processors.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a picture recognition method and apparatus, a computer device and a computer-readable medium. The method comprises: obtaining a to-be-recognized picture; according to the to-be-recognized picture and a pre-trained picture recognition model, acquiring a predicted class tag of the to-be-recognized picture; the pre-trained picture recognition model employs a convolutional neural network model, and the convolutional neural network model comprises at least one layer of kernel pooling layer upgrading a dimensionality of a channel from one dimension to multiple dimensions; recognizing a class of the to-be-recognized picture according to the predicted class tag of the to-be-recognized picture. By recognizing the to-be-recognized picture by using the picture recognition model having the kernel pooling layer, the present disclosure can achieve recognition of picture classes with finer granularities and effectively improve the picture recognition accuracy and efficiency.

    Abstract: A personalized voice assistance system and method to provide a personalized emotion-based assistance to a first individual from a group of individuals are disclosed. The personalized voice assistance system detects an activity of the first individual in a first time period in a defined area. A requirement of an assistance for the first individual may be determined based on the detected activity in the defined area. The personalized voice assistance system may further compute, based on the detected activity, an emotional reaction of a second individual from the group of individuals. The emotional reaction of the second individual may be computed for the determined requirement of the assistance for the first individual. The personalized voice assistance system may further generate an output voice similar to the second individual based on at least the computed emotional reaction to assist the first individual.
