摘要: A drawing processing unit generates multi-gradation light distribution image data that defines a light distribution. The image processing unit executes multiple software processes sequentially. The drawing processing unit self-diagnoses the presence or absence of an abnormality for each software process. The drawing processing unit transmits first diagnostic data that indicates the self-diagnosis results to the auxiliary processor. Furthermore, the drawing processing unit transmits first feedback data based on data generated for each software process to the auxiliary processor. The auxiliary processor diagnoses the presence or absence of an abnormality in the multiple software processes executed by the drawing processing unit based on the first feedback data.

摘要: A vehicular control system includes a camera, a controller having a processor that processes captured image data, and an exterior temperature sensor. Responsive, at least in part, to a temperature input from the temperature sensor, the controller switches processing of captured image data between (a) a normal processing mode and (b) a cold weather processing mode. Responsive to the temperature input being indicative of the exterior temperature being below a first threshold temperature, the controller processes captured image data in the cold weather processing mode to enhance blockage detection of frost or snow or ice at the camera. When the controller is operating in the cold weather processing mode, the controller switches processing of captured image data to the normal processing mode responsive to the temperature input being indicative of the exterior temperature being above a second threshold temperature that is greater than the first threshold temperature.

摘要: A vehicular control system suitable for use in a vehicle includes a data processor module for receiving and processing image data provided by a plurality of video sensors, which include at least five cameras, and sensor data provided by a plurality of non-video sensors, which include a radar sensor. The data processor module receives image data captured by the cameras and radar data captured by the radar sensor. The data processor module communicates with other vehicle systems via a vehicle bus of the equipped vehicle. Responsive at least in part to processing of image data and sensor data at the data processor module, other vehicles present exterior of the equipped vehicle are detected. Responsive at least in part to processing of image data and sensor data at the data processor module, a speed control system of the equipped vehicle is controlled.

摘要: A vehicular control system includes a forward viewing camera that views forward through the vehicle windshield and a control including an image processor that processes image data captured by the camera. Responsive at least in part to processing of captured image data, (i) at least one road characteristic of a road along which the vehicle is traveling is detected, (ii) other vehicles exterior the vehicle are detected, and (iii) road curvature of the road along which the vehicle is traveling is determined. Data derived at least in part from captured image data and at least in part relevant to a current geographic location of the vehicle is wirelessly communicated from the vehicle to a remote data receiver located remote from the vehicle. Based at least in part on image data processed by the image processor, speed of the vehicle is controlled.

摘要: A vehicle lighting unit can prevent the erroneous emission of laser light from a lens member through its light emission surface to the outside even when a wavelength converting member is dislocated. The vehicle lighting unit can include a laser light source, the wavelength converting member configured to receive the laser light and wavelength-convert at least part of the laser light, and the lens member including a light incident surface on which light from the wavelength converting member or the laser light is incident, a first reflecting surface configured to totally reflect the light from the light incident surface, and a light exiting surface through which the light from the first reflecting surface can exit. The lens member can further include a total-reflection prevention structure at the first reflecting surface, configured to prevent the laser light entering the lens member from being totally reflected by the first reflecting surface.
