    摘要: The invention relates to a light guiding element (1) for a laser vehicle headlight (2), wherein the laser vehicle headlight (2) comprises at least one laser light source (3) and at least one luminous element (4) which can be irradiated by the laser light source (3) and can thus be excited to emit visible light, and the light guiding element (1) can substantially be arranged between the laser light source (3) and the luminous element (4), wherein the light guiding element (1) has a light entrance surface (5) and a light exit surface (6), wherein the entrance cross-sectional area of the light entrance surface (5) is greater than the exit cross-sectional area of the light exit surface (6), and the light radiated in through the light entrance surface (5) can be concentrated in the direction of the light exit surface (6) via the inner surface (7) connecting the light entrance surface (5) and the light exit surface (6). The invention additionally relates to a vehicle headlight (2) comprising at least one light guiding element (1) of this type.

    摘要: An anti-glare system for vehicles has a linear polarized filter mounted to a headlight of a vehicle with the positive side of the filter placed at a 135 degree angle relative to a horizontal line. A second linear polarized filter is mounted to a windshield of the vehicle with the negative side of the second filter placed at an angle of 45 degrees relative to a horizontal line. When vehicles equipped with this anti-glare system meet travelling in opposite directions, the polarized light emitted by the headlight of one vehicle is blocked by the filter installed in the windshield of the other vehicle. A third linear polarized filter may be mounted to rear and side view mirrors of the vehicle with the positive side of the third filter placed at an angle of 135 degrees relative to a horizontal line. When vehicles equipped with the anti-glare system meet travelling in the same direction, the polarized light emitted by the headlight of one vehicle is blocked by the filter installed in the rear or side view mirror of the other vehicle.

The device includes a mirror array having a number of individual mirrors; a provision device designed to provide a light beam conducted onto the mirror array; a conducting device; and a light return guide device. The individual mirrors are designed to, in a first position, reflect first portions of the light impinging on the mirror array toward the conducting device, and, in a second position, to reflect second portions toward the light return guide device, according to the light pattern to be projected. The conducting device conducts the first portions for the projection of the light pattern; and the light return guide device guides the second portions back onto the mirror array.

The vehicle lighting unit can include a semiconductor laser light source, a phosphor configured to receive blue light emitted from the semiconductor laser light source and emit white light by excitation, and a reflector configured to reflect the light emitted from the phosphor so that the light can be diffused wider in a right-to-left direction than in a vertical direction on the basis of a posture when the lighting unit is mounted on a vehicle body. Part of the blue light that is emitted from the semiconductor laser light source and reflected off a surface of the phosphor can be incident on the reflector with an elongated area in the right-to-left direction.

    摘要: A visibility-enhancing system includes an adjustment mechanism for adjusting the polarization of a light source relative to the polarization of a viewing filter, so as to improve visual contrast between interposing media and an object to be viewed. The light source includes a light generation mechanism for generating polarized light, and an optional source polarization angle determination mechanism for adjusting the angle of polarization of the light source. The viewing filter includes a filter polarization angle adjustment mechanism for adjusting at least one of the polarization angle of maximum light attenuation and the polarization angle of minimum light attenuation. An observer adjusts at least one of the source polarization angle determination mechanism and the filter polarization angle adjustment mechanism so as to improve the visibility of the object to be viewed in the presence of interposing media.
