    摘要: A dialkyl or diaryl ether is produced by reacting carbon dioxide with a metal alcoholate having the formula, M(RO)x, where “M” is a Group 1, Group 2, or Group 3 metal; “x” is the valence of the metal M; “R” is a C1 to C6 lower alkyl or aryl, wherein the reaction produces a dialkyl or diaryl ether having a formula, R—O—R, and a metal carbonate having a formula M2CO3 where M is a Group 1 metal, MCO3 where M is a Group 2 metal, and M2(CO3)3 where M is a Group 3 metal. The metal carbonate may be removed by conventional means, such as filtration. The dialkyl or diaryl ether may be recovered and used as a fuel, fuel additive, propellant, or building block for other fuels or petrochemicals. In some cases the metal alcoholate is in an alcohol solution and the alcohol and metal carbonate are recycled to regenerate the metal alcoholate. A specific example of dimethyl ether production is disclosed.

    摘要: A mixed magnesium dialkoxide particulate obtained by direct solid-liquid reaction between particulate magnesium metal with a mean particle size of 50 μm to 500 μm and two or more alcohols including ethyl alcohol and at least one C3-6 alcohol, and comprising magnesium diethoxide, wherein the content of alkoxides other than ethoxide is 2.5 to 15 mol % of the total, the mean particle size (D50) is 20 to 100 μm and the bulk density is at least 0.4 g/ml. The mixed magnesium dialkoxide is for use as a catalyst component for polymerization of olefins such as propylene, exhibits high breaking strength, and when used for preparation of a polymerization catalyst, high polymerization activity is exhibited resulting in a high catalyst product yield.

The device comprises a closed container (1) that is partially filled with the liquid and into which the solid bodies are introduced before being received inside the container (1) into a basket (2) that is movable relative to the container (1), and the solid bodies inside the basket (2) are brought into contact with the liquid. For the solid bodies to be introduced more easily, quickly and also more uniformly into the basket inside the container (1), in order to be dissolved, the basket (2) is suspended inside the container (1) in an oscillating manner, such that it can be moved back and forth, after it is filled with a bulk load of solid bodies, in alternating directions of rotation relative to the container (1).

Granular metallic magnesium and an alcohol are added continuously or intermittently in divided portions to a reaction system of the metallic magnesium and alcohol while circulating the alcohol for reaction. Large-sized dialkoxymagnesium granules are obtained with a uniform particle size distribution and containing no fine powder.
