    摘要: A blending appliance includes a housing with a jar receiving area defined between an upper housing and a support base. A blender jar includes a base portion and a receptacle portion, and is configured to be laterally received within the jar receiving area of the housing. A magnetic coupling system includes an upper magnetic coupler disposed in the base portion of the blender jar and a lower magnetic coupler disposed in the support base of the housing. The upper and lower magnetic couplers are magnetically coupled to one another for driving a blade assembly disposed in the receptacle portion of the blender jar. A brake mechanism is disposed on the upper magnetic coupler and is configured to stop rotation of the upper magnetic coupler when the blender jar is removed from the jar receiving area.

In an acceleration chamber (42), a rotary movement is imparted to the supplied liquid (32) and the liquid (32) is accelerated to a pre-determined speed, while a rotary movement is imparted to the supplied solid particles (13) in a solid supply chamber (16). The device (10) further comprises a mixing chamber (76) for mixing the solid particles (13) with the liquid (32) to form a suspension, while maintaining the rotary movement generated previously. In a compressor chamber (78), the rotating suspension is accelerated so that a suction effect is generated in an entry region (82) of the compressor chamber (78), which suction effect at least substantially de-aerates the supplied loose solid (13).

    摘要: An assembly is mounted to a soft serve confection freezer. It includes a set of modules in a circular array and separately replaceable in a magazine. Each module supports a container storing a dry food ingredient in particulate form, and has a motor driven product impeller for controlled discharge of particulates from the container to a blender assembly. The blender assembly has a housing and screw-type auger of cooperating configurations and which cooperate with a central passageway for frozen confection flowing from the freezer, to blend solids into the confection and discharge into a customer's container for immediate consumption. Control panel selection of ingredients by the operator according to the customer's order, is provided. Components are arranged to facilitate cleaning.
