    摘要: A silicon oxide removal apparatus for removing silicon oxide contained in an inert gas discharged from a silicon single crystal manufacturing apparatus, including at least: a contact means for bringing the inert gas discharged from the silicon single crystal manufacturing apparatus into contact with a strongly alkaline solution; and a neutralizing means for neutralizing an alkaline material contained in the inert gas brought into contact with the strongly alkaline solution. As a result, there is provided a silicon oxide removal apparatus and a facility for recycling an inert gas for use in a silicon single crystal manufacturing apparatus that can more effectively remove the silicon oxide contained in the inert gas discharged from the silicon single crystal manufacturing apparatus at low cost and enable recycle of the inert gas in which the silicon oxide has been effectively removed.

    摘要: The invention comprises a double loop channel type induction furnace of which the floor has a base on a first side of its hearth and a ramp which rises from the base to terminate in a plateau above the passages at a location distal from the first side. The ramp and plateau extends at least partly between opposing end walls of the furnace, and the plateau includes a trench which extends at least partly between opposing ends of the plateau. The trench is in fluid communication with the passages and the bottom of the trench is located in a plane higher than the plane in which the furnace floor is located. The base of the furnace floor is in fluid communication with the central passage by means of a floor passage that extends from the base of the floor to the central passage through the ramp below the trench.

    摘要: This invention concerns an electric arc furnace comprising a chamber suitable for containing molten steel; a roof suitable for covering the chamber and for containing a mass of scrap steel; electrodes suitable for melting the mass of scrap, and means of support on a base. The latter means are such as to support the chamber and permit its oscillation around a horizontal axis of rotation. The roof and the chamber are counterprofiled in correspondence to the respective interface walls to create a rotoidal type coupling with regard to the axis of rotation. The roof, during oscillation of the chamber, remains fixed with regard to the base as well as in a closed position with regard to the chamber.

    摘要: The nature of the technical disclosures of my invention is simple and unique. A ¼×0.0381 inches groove around a ceramic clay crucible is simple to adapt. I invented a mold which has the feature of ¼×0.0381 inches groove around, to make the casting of a grooved ceramic clay crucible feasible. This is new in the art of casting because the ceramic clay crucibles used in Goldsmith industry do not have a groove around them. The purpose of the groove is to enable anyone who is working in casting precious metals under excessive heat to handle the crucible which is used in the process more efficiently and securely. This groove would certainly improve the melting and casting procedures simply because the strap around the newly grooved crucible would be firmly fastened, thus preventing any spills, and at the same time protecting the worker.

    摘要: The invention relates to arc-heating plasma reactors for simultaneous making of refractory, metal and non-metal material melt and sublimates having a high degree of a melt viscosity and can be used in cement, chemical industries and metallurgy. The main portion comprises a cavity (13) defined by a refractory lining, provided with at least one opening (21) and shaped so that no pockets of molten metal remain after pouring. Consequently, the metal flows more readily, and hot deslagging and metal temperature measurement are made easier. The ladle is useful for maintaining the temperature of high melting point metals such as steel or superalloys for processes requiring metal sampling.
