    Abstract: An electric arc furnace has a chamber suitable for containing molten steel, a roof covering the chamber and for containing a mass of scrap steel, electrodes for melting the mass of scrap, and a supporting base. The base permits the chamber to oscillate around a horizontal axis of rotation. The roof and the chamber are counterprofiled in correspondence to the respective interface walls to create a rotary coupling with regard to the axis of rotation. The roof, during oscillation of the chamber, remains fixed with regard to the base as well as in a closed position with regard to the chamber.

    Abstract: An arc metallurgic furnace slagging door comprising a lower slag removing-pushing movable panel (16) and a top movable panel (18) which can be opened to carry out remarks and interventions on molten metal, characterized in that: said top movable panel (18) and said underlying lower movable panel (16) are placed in front of a short tunnel, giving access to the melting pot placed in front of the slagging door for closing said short tunnel; the top panel (18) of the slagging door is slightly inclined outwardly and it is suitable to move outwardly in respect to the furnace and up-wardly, substantially keeping this inclination in respect to the furnace wall, and the lower panel (16) of the slagging door is apt to carry out movements similar to those of a dredger, i.e. partial rising and partial lowering, partial advancing into the furnace and partial backing out of the furnace for both removing the slag present in the furnace melting pot, and pushing the various material inside the furnace.

    Abstract: An arc metallurgic furnace slagging door having an upper panel and a lower panel substantially vertically aligned with the upper panel, the panels being placed in front of a tunnel giving access to a furnace melting pot and in front of the slagging door for closing the tunnel. The upper panel is outwardly inclined with respect to the tunnel, and movable between a closed position and an open position which permits remarks and interventions to be conducted on molten metal. The lower panel is movable independently with respect to the upper panel between closing, cleaning and slagging positions.

    Abstract: This invention concerns an electric arc furnace comprising a chamber suitable for containing molten steel; a roof suitable for covering the chamber and for containing a mass of scrap steel; electrodes suitable for melting the mass of scrap, and means of support on a base. The latter means are such as to support the chamber and permit its oscillation around a horizontal axis of rotation. The roof and the chamber are counterprofiled in correspondence to the respective interface walls to create a rotoidal type coupling with regard to the axis of rotation. The roof, during oscillation of the chamber, remains fixed with regard to the base as well as in a closed position with regard to the chamber.
