摘要: A pyroelectric element includes a plurality of electrodes formed on one major surface of a pyroelectric film and constituting a first group and at least one electrode formed on the other major surface of the pyroelectric film and constituting a second group, wherein directions of proximal end portions of lead portions of the electrodes and widths of the proximal end portions are set to be a predetermined direction and a predetermined value such that effective light-receiving electrode areas of unit pyroelectric elements are substantially equal to each other even if electrode patterns of the first and second groups are slightly offset from each other. Provided is a pyroelectric element having excellent electrical characteristics against disturbing external light.

摘要: The present invention discloses a composition comprising a mixture containing 100 parts by weight of substantially linear polyphenylene sulfide which is treated with an aqueous solution of an acid or a salt of a strong acid and a weak base and which has not less than 70 mol % of a repeating unit of ##STR1## 0.05 to 5 parts by weight of at least one aminoalkoxysilane compound and, if necessary, 0.01 to 3 parts by weight of a releasing agent, the mixture being kneaded under heating at a temperature higher than the melting point of the polyphenylene sulfide, said composition exhibiting excellent impact strength and weld strength and providing molded product with small amount of flash generated during molding. The invention also discloses a composition which further comprises a fibrous reinforcing material and/or an inorganic powdered or granular filler, according to necessity, as well as disclosing a method of producing said composition.

摘要: Disclosed herein is a fluidized-bed reaction apparatus comprising a perforated plate located in the lower portion of a fluidized-bed reaction tower for forming fluidized-bed of particles thereon, the plate having regions with different opening ratios, at least the outer peripheral portion and the geometrical center portion of the plate having an opening ratio larger than an average opening ratio of the plate, inlets of a heating-fluidizing gas and the particles receiving the reaction, outlets of the particles and a discharge gas, and a fluidized-bed reaction process using such an apparatus. Upon operation of the apparatus, stationary circulation of the particles is obtained in the fluidized-bed thereby the particles are scarcely pulverized or entrained and the circulation velocity is increased.

摘要: Disclosed herein is a process for producing pitch-based carbon fibers having the specific properties comparable to those of polyacrylonitrile(PAN)-based carbon fibers, wherein an optically isotropic pitch obtained by polymerizing naphthalene at a temperature of not more than 330.degree. C. and heating the thus obtained polymeric material at a temperature of 330.degree. to 440.degree. C. while introducing an inert gas thereinto to remove volatile components therefrom, is subjected to melt-spinning, infusibilization (therosetting) and carbonization and the thus obtained carbonized-fibers are subjected to heat treatment at a temperature of not less that 900.degree. C. to obtain the carbon fibers.
