Abstract: The present invention refer to a process for the production of microbial cellulose using a waste textile material, for example 100% cotton or blended cotton/polyester/elastane waste textile, said waste textile material comprising cellulose, comprising the following steps: providing an amount of said waste textile material; pre-treating said waste textile material with an aqueous solution comprising NaOH and urea, to obtain a pre-treated fabric, wherein said step of treating said waste textile with an aqueous solution comprising NaOH and urea is carried out at a temperature ranging from −25° C. to +30° C.; treating said pre-treated fabric with cellulase enzymes, to convert said cellulose into glucose, whereby a mixture including glucose is obtained; preparing a culture medium comprising said mixture including glucose; inoculating said culture medium with microbial cellulose producing microorganisms; and incubating said microbial cellulose producing microorganisms to obtain microbial cellulose.

Abstract: A genetically engineered bacterium and a preparation method and use thereof are disclosed. The genetically engineered bacteria contain a gene encoding α-1,2-fucosyltransferase, and a gene encoding a protein tag is connected to the gene encoding α-1,2-fucosyltransferase; the protein tag is MBP, SUMO1, SUMO2 or TrxA, the amino acid sequence of the MBP is shown in SEQ ID NO: 2, the amino acid sequence of the SUMO1 is shown in SEQ ID NO: 3, the amino acid sequence of the SUMO2 is shown in SEQ ID NO: 4, the amino acid sequence of the TrxA is shown in SEQ ID NO: 5. Fermentation with the genetically engineered bacteria can greatly increase the yield of 2′-fucosyllactose compared to the genetically engineered bacteria that only expresses α-1,2-fucosyltransferase exogenously, and the yield can be more than doubled in a preferred case.

Abstract: The disclosure discloses a method for chemically synthesizing a Helicobacter pylori core lipopolysaccharide oligosaccharide antigen carbohydrate chain, and belongs to the technical field of carbohydrate chemistry. The disclosure uses D-glucose, D-galactose and D-mannose as starting materials, which undergo a series of protection and deprotection reactions to prepare eight monosaccharide blocks. The eight monosaccharide block compounds as shown in formulas 2 to 9 undergo glycosylation reactions under catalysis of corresponding activating reagents, to prepare H. pylori lipopolysaccharide core oligosaccharide antigen fragments as shown in formula 1. The disclosure further combines the synthesized oligosaccharide fragments with a chip to make a carbohydrate chip, screens the optimal antigen fragments using patient serum, or combines the synthesized oligosaccharide fragments with carrier proteins to make glycoconjugates.
