摘要: An exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure provides a method for depolymerizing a polymer product. The method comprises forming a reaction mixture by combining polymer feedstock with an activating agent and producing an oxidized polymer comprising one or more functional groups comprising an oxygen atom. Also described are systems comprising a vessel having one or more inert or chemically reactive grinding bodies, polymer feedstock, and an activating agent, wherein the system is configured to mix the one or more grinding bodies, the polymer feedstock, and activating agent under approximately ambient pressure.

摘要: The present disclosure provides poly(tetrafluoroethylene) (PTFE) microparticles with a Dv50 of about 20 μm to about 30 mm and a specific surface area (SSA) of at least about 3.0 m2/g when measured by a multipoint BET method of ISO 9277. Such PTFE microparticles can be obtained via a method including thermomechanically degrading scrap PTFE in the presence of air and/or oxygen and reducing the particle size of the resultant degraded PTFE.

Also provided is a portable local sub-station for reducing the transportation costs associated with the processing of guayule shrubs for the extraction of rubber. Use of the disclosed systems, methods and/or local sub-station can reduce transportation costs, reduce processing costs and reduce the downstream processing complexity associated with the extraction of rubber from guayule shrubs.

摘要: Regenerated foamed particles, and a regenerated foamed and molded body made from same. The regenerated foamed particles are made by melting and foaming regenerated TPU particles. The regenerated TPU particles are formed by melting and pelletizing a recycled composition which contains 100 parts by weight of scraps of a waste ETPU molded body and 0 to 20 parts by weight of a TPU prepolymer. The regenerated TPU particles have a viscosity of 1,000 to 9,000 poises measured at 170° C. according to the JISK7311 method.

摘要: Provided is a system, process, and method for the recycling of waste plastics. The recycling system, process, and method may comprise sorting of comingled waste. The sorting of comingled waste may include sorting into, for example, like polymer groups or families of plastic materials. The recycling system, process, and method may comprise processing of a sorted waste, including processing of the sorted plastic waste. The processing of the sorted plastic waste may include grinding and mixing, a supercritical or subcritical fluid treatment and sterilization, and extrusion to create and provide a homogenous precursor plastics blend. The precursor plastics blend may then be further extruded and refined to remove water and other low molecular weight material, and may be customized with additives to provide a value-added recycled plastic material. The additives may include colorants, flame retardants, fillers, fiber, identifiers, and the like, and may be combined in a ratio with virgin plastics, to impart specific properties on the value-added recycled plastic material based on its subsequent use in remanufacture and tracking. One or more of the recycling steps or phases may provide at least one of speed, accuracy, or cleanliness and minimization of human contact with waste materials.
