摘要: A process for producing a monoalkylated benzene comprises the step of contacting benzene with a mixture comprising dialkylated and trialkylated benzenes in the presence of a transalkylation catalyst composition under transalkylation conditions effective to convert at least part of the dialkylated and trialkylated benzene to monoalkylated benzene, wherein the transalkylation catalyst, composition comprises zeolite beta having an external surface in excess of 350 m2/g as determined by the t-plot method for nitrogen physisorption.

摘要: A process is described for producing paraxylene, in which an aromatic hydrocarbon feedstock comprising benzene and/or toluene is contacted with an alkylating reagent comprising methanol and/or dimethyl ether in an alkylation reaction zone under alkylation conditions in the presence of an alkylation catalyst to produce an alkylated aromatic product comprising xylenes. The alkylation catalyst comprises a molecular sieve having a Constraint Index≤5, and the alkylation conditions comprise a temperature less than 500° C. Paraxylene may then be recovered from the alkylated aromatic product.

摘要: Processes for transalkylation of aromatic hydrocarbons is disclosed. The process includes introducing a feed stream comprising aromatic hydrocarbon compounds to a transalkylation zone. A water source is introduced to the transalkylation zone, the water source being in an amount to provide about 80 to about 120 wppm of water based upon the mass of the feed stream. The feed stream is contacted with a transalkylation catalyst in the transalkylation zone under transalkylation conditions comprising a transalkylation temperature of about 130° C. to about 230° C. in the presence of the water to provide a transalkylation reaction effluent.

摘要: The present invention relates to a support structure of a solid catalyst for preparing a linear alkyl aromatic compound, particularly linear alkylbenzene (LAB), and to a method of preparing an alkyl aromatic compound by alkylating an aromatic compound with an olefin using a solid alkylation catalyst, and of regenerating the deactivated solid alkylation catalyst. The present invention provides an integrated method of preparing an alkyl aromatic compound by alkylating an aromatic compound with an olefin using a filter structure as a solid catalyst carrier for alkylating an aromatic compound with an olefin, and of regenerating the deactivated solid alkylation catalyst, thereby realizing simpler and less expensive processing than conventional processes.

摘要: Methods are provided for the treatment of a feed stream containing C9 aromatic components to produce mesitylene-containing products. The methods include hydrodealkylating the feed stream to remove C2 and higher alkyl groups from the aromatic components and transalkylating the feed stream to rearrange the distribution of methyl groups among the aromatic components. Disclosed methods also include the treatment of a hydrocarbon feedstock by hydrodealkylation and/or transalkylation in order to produce a hydrocarbon product having an increased mass percentage of mesitylene.

摘要: A process for the regeneration of a catalyst is presented. The catalyst is in a reactor for use in benzene alkylation, and periodically needs to be regenerated. The reactor is taken off-line, and a regenerant is passed through the reactor, producing an effluent stream. A portion of the effluent stream is recycled through the reactor without passing through a clean-up process.

摘要: A method of producing phenol and acetone can include: alkylating benzene with a C2-6 alkyl source in the presence of a zeolite catalyst to produce a C8-12 alkylbenzene; oxidizing the C8-12 alkylbenzene in the presence of an oxygen containing gas to produce a C8-12 alkylbenzene hydroperoxide; cleaving decomposing the C8-12 alkylbenzene hydroperoxide in the presence of an acid catalyst to produce phenol, a C3-6 ketone, and undesirable side products such as, but not limited to acetaldehyde, DMBA, acetophenone, AMS, AMS dimers, unidentified heavies, or a combination including at least one of the foregoing; and monitoring a concentration of the C8-12 alkylbenzene hydroperoxide in a process stream of a reactor in real time at a temperature and a pressure of the process stream; and in real time, controlling a parameter of the reactor and/or the cleaving decomposing in response to the concentration of the C8-12 alkylbenzene hydroperoxide.
