摘要： An endoscope which has small bending resistance and is hard to be damaged or broken even when it is repeatedly used is disclosed. The endoscope includes a flexible insertion section 2 and an operation section 7 provided on the proximal end of the insertion section 2. The insertion section 2 has a sheath constructed from an outer layer 382 and the like, and elongated members such as an image guide 31 and light guides 32, 32 and the like are housed in lumens in the sheath. Further, each light guide 32 has an optical fiber bundle and a protective sheath 321 for protecting the optical fiber bundle. In the interior space of the protective sheath 321, a lubricant 5 containing a silicone oil and a solid lubricant is provided. The solid lubricant contains at least one of boron nitride, poly tetrafluoroethylene, and molybdenum disulfide. The solid lubricant is preferably formed into powder having an average grain size of 0.1 to 15 μm. By providing the lubricant 5 in the interior space of the lumen, bending resistance of the insertion section is reduced so that damage, breakage, or the like is hard to occur in the elongated members.

More specifically, the lubricant of the invention is a functionalized perfluoropolyether comprising at least about two acrylate groups. In one embodiment, the lubricant of the invention is a functionalized perfluoropolyether comprising a perfluoropolyether tetraacrylate. A magnetic recording medium is also provided comprising a thin metal magnetic recording layer, said layer having a coating of the functionalized perfluoropolyether lubricant comprising at least about three acrylate end groups. An optical recording medium including the functionalized perfluoropolyether lubricant includes at least one magneto-optical layer disposed between two protective layers further disposed between two substrate layers having interior and exterior surfaces, the exterior surface of at least one substrate layer bearing thereon a functionalized perfluoropolyether lubricant comprising a perfluoropolyether tetraacrylate.

摘要： The present invention provides a method for producing a high quality ester and an ester obtained by this method. The method includes reacting an alcohol with a carboxylic acid in a presence of a Lewis acid catalyst in an amount of 0.00001 to 0.005 mol and a phosphorus-containing reducing agent in an amount of 0.0003 to 0.005 mol with respect to one mol of carboxyl groups of the carboxylic acid, and separating a resultant ester. This ester is useful as ester lubricating base stock for grease, automotive engine oil, and refrigerating machine oil.
