Abstract: A method for veterinary administration of medication to an animal, particularly a horse, is disclosed. The method involves inserting a capsule containing the medication, which is a liquid formulation, into a device connected to a tubular chamber. An atomizer is activated to atomize the medication, producing atomized medication. Before administration, a force is applied to a mask placed over the animal's muzzle, connected to the chamber. The atomized medication is then delivered to the animal. The liquid formulation, in some instances, comprises cells, cellular byproducts, or cell-derived products such as stem cells or products from human mesenchymal stem cells. This formulation may lack preservatives and may encompass peptides, proteins, growth factors, cytokines, exosomes, and extracellular vesicles. The delivery mechanism may involve deflating an air bladder to convey the atomized medication. The capsule allows for controlled transfer of the medication between chambers within it, facilitated by removing barriers and applying force.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a medication delivery system including a medication administration device, a medication within the medication administration device, a container defining a cavity receiving the medication administration device, and a cap attached to the container and sealing the medication administration device within the cavity. The medication administration device includes an actuator extending from a body and operable to expel the medication by depressing the actuator into the body. The cap includes hold down members positioned to bear against the body of the medication administration device to prevent movement of the medication administration device toward the cap beyond a predetermined distance. The medication administration device is thereby prevented, inter alia, from prematurely discharging the medication during storage and transport.

Abstract: A relatively rigid, adjustable faceplate fitted over and working in conjunction with a relatively flexible respiratory facemask. The faceplate pushes (urges) the facemask against a user's (patient's) facial features to assure a better fit of the facemask to the patient's face. Straps are disposed on the faceplate, rather than on the facemask. The faceplate may provide or comprise: filter protection from user contact, strap locking features, cutouts for accommodating stick-on filters mounted to the facemask, and a nebulizer cutout. An upper portion of the faceplate is provided with a slider to allow the faceplate to achieve an effective fit when used with different size (adult, child, pediatric) facemasks by adjusting the distance between a nose pressure point and a chin pressure point of the faceplate.
