摘要: A catheter includes a shaft part having a first shaft and a second shaft. The first shaft is a cylindrical member having a guide wire lumen into which a guide wire is inserted. The second shaft is a cylindrical member having an imaging lumen into which an imaging device for acquiring an image of an interior of a living body lumen is inserted, and is disposed alongside the first shaft. In a first region from a first position at a distal end portion of the shaft part to a second position further on a proximal end side than the first position, the second shaft is not joined to the first shaft. In a second region that is continuous with the first region and that is further on the proximal end side than the first region, the second shaft is joined to the first shaft.

摘要: An ophthalmic device comprises an ultrasonic transducer, an accommodation actuator, and a controller. When the ophthalmic device is mounted in or on an eye of a user, the ultrasonic transducer is positioned to direct ultrasonic signals towards ciliary processes in the eye and the accommodation actuator is positioned to focus light entering the eye. The controller is coupled to the ultrasonic transducer and the accommodation actuator. The controller includes logic that when executed by the controller causes the ophthalmic device to perform operations including emitting the ultrasonic signals from the ultrasonic transducer towards the ciliary processes, receiving reflected ultrasonic signals from the ciliary processes with the ultrasonic transducer, calculating a time of flight between emitting the ultrasonic signals and receiving the reflected ultrasonic signals, and adjusting an optical power of the accommodation actuator based on the time of flight.

摘要: The present invention provides a clamp (10) for clamp for retaining a medical device in a medical apparatus. The clamp (10) includes a pair of opposed gripping elements (16). At least one of the gripping elements is substantially rotatably moveable to grip and apply a compressive force on a portion of the medical device when the portion it is placed between the gripping elements. The compressive force increases when the at least one of the gripping elements rotates in one direction and reduces when it rotates in an opposite direction.

摘要: An ultrasound imaging system including an ultrasound imaging apparatus operable to acquire ultrasound image data and an add-on vibration inducing device operable to generate shear waves. The add-on vibration inducing device is connected cordlessly to the ultrasound imaging apparatus. The add-on vibration inducing device can be powered and controlled by the ultrasound imaging apparatus. The add-on vibration inducing device includes a connector to scanner which connects cordlessly to a power connector on the ultrasound imaging apparatus for transmitting the power and the control signals from the ultrasound imaging apparatus to the add-on vibration inducing device. The ultrasound imaging apparatus can be used separately from the add-on vibration inducing device for ultrasound imaging procedures and the add-on vibration inducing device can be easily mounted on the ultrasound imaging apparatus when the user wishes to perform an elastography diagnostic procedure.
