摘要: A method for storing and reutilizing energy during operation of a hydrostatic actuator (EHA) having a hydraulic cylinder, a first bidirectional pump-motor rotationally coupled to an electric motor, and EHA valving and connections between the first pump-motor and the hydraulic cylinder. During at least one of two motoring quadrants, a hydraulic accumulator is charged using a second pump-motor whose rotation is driven by load-driven motoring of the first bidirectional pump-motor. During at least one of the pumping quadrants, driven rotation is imparted to the second pump-motor using stored energy from the accumulator, and said driven rotation of the second pump-motor is used to augment powered rotation of the first bidirectional pump-motor by the electric motor.

摘要: A hydraulic fluid pressure amplifier system includes a boost cylinder assembly, an energy storage device in fluid communication with the boost cylinder assembly, and a working cylinder assembly. The boost cylinder assembly is configured to selectively receive a plunger member into a boost cylinder, wherein movement of the plunger member received in the boost cylinder compresses a charge fluid within a blind side volume of the boost cylinder from a first fluid pressure to an amplified fluid pressure greater than the first pressure. The working cylinder assembly is selectively operable responsive to receiving a source hydraulic fluid having a nominal fluid pressure less than the amplified fluid pressure for effecting the movement of the plunger member into the boost cylinder. The energy storage device is operable to selectively receive and store a portion of the charge fluid compressed to the amplified fluid pressure.

The inner portion comprises a resiliently deformable solid mass (31), wherein at least a portion of the mass is deformable in response to fluid pressure in the zone exceeding a prescribed level thereby to provide pressure relief. The deformable portion resiliently rebounds in response to fluid pressure in the zone returning to or falling below the prescribed level.

摘要: An integrated hybrid energy recovery and storage system for recovering and storing energy from multiple energy sources is disclosed. The system includes an accumulator unit having a high pressure accumulator and a low pressure accumulator. At least one piston is mounted for reciprocation in the high pressure accumulator. The accumulator unit is configured to receive, store, and transfer energy from the hydraulic fluid to the energy storage media. The system further includes two or more rotational directional control valves, in which at least one rotational directional control valve is positioned on each side of the accumulator unit. Each rotational directional control valve includes multiple ports. The system also includes two or more variable displacement hydraulic rotational units. At least one variable displacement hydraulic rotational unit is positioned adjacent each of the rotational directional control valves.

The actuator-damper unit includes a housing which may be fastened on the orthotic or prosthetic device and in which a cylinder is formed. A first piston is displaceably mounted in the cylinder and is coupled to a piston rod. The piston rod is disposed, via a first end, on the first piston and may be coupled, via a second end, to the orthotic or prosthetic device. The first piston separates two fluid chambers in the cylinder from each other and forms a piston-cylinder unit, wherein at least one further piston is coupled to the first piston in order to form at least one further, variable-volume fluid chamber.
