摘要: A battery manufacturing method includes: winding positive and negative electrode plates and a separator to form a wound electrode assembly; cutting unwound portions of the positive and negative electrode plates and the separator such that the separator constitutes an outermost layer of the wound electrode assembly when the winding is completed; further winding around the wound electrode assembly the cut unwound portions; fixing a part of a terminal end of the separator in a lateral direction to the wound electrode assembly; and performing heat welding on parts of both lateral ends of an outermost portion of the separator in the wound electrode assembly, which are located above an electrode active material-uncoated portion of the positive or negative electrode plate to fix the lateral ends to the wound electrode assembly.

摘要: There is described a process for adhering a first elongate foam element having a first end portion to a second elongate foam element having a second end portion. The process comprises an initial step of melting a first surface portion of the first end portion to produce a first molten portion. Next the first end portion is abutted to the second end portion. Thereafter, the first molten portion is caused to solidify to create a seam bond between the first end portion and the second end portion. Thus, the present invention relates to adhering two elongate foam elements together at their end portions. The bond between the foam elements is created by melting at least a portion of the surface of one or both of the end portions of the two foam buns. This creates insitu a molten region which acts as an adhesive when the end portions of the two buns are abutted or otherwise contacted with each other.

摘要: A thread connecting device for a sewing machine cuts an upper thread which is extending between the sewing machine and one of a plurality of thread spools, and connects an end of a thread belonging to the sewing machine and an end of a thread belonging to the thread spool, in such a manner that the connected part of the threads can smoothly pass through a needle eye, whereby it is possible to supply a desired color thread with respect to the sewing machine having a single needle bar. Therefore the applicable scope of the pattern stitching may be largely widened for colored clothes or other fabrics, especially an embroidery stitching may be performed which requires many kinds of color threads.

摘要: An elastic band sealer for forming a continuous non-overlapping band from a source of material in which the band sealer includes apparatus to extend a length of material from the source, apparatus to cut the material into a strip after it is extended, and apparatus to fuse the strip into a continuous non-overlapping band. The band sealer can also include apparatus to measure the extended length of material such that it may be cut into discrete strips. The apparatus for fusing the strip generally includes a heating head and additional apparatus which rotates the ends of the strip toward one another such that the heating head can fuse the strip into a continuous non-overlapping band.A method of forming a continuous non-overlapping band from a source of material is also considered, which includes extending a length of the material from the source, cutting the material into a strip after it has been extended, and fusing the strip into a continuous non-overlapping band.

摘要: Thermoplastic yarn ends are spliced by overlapping side-by-side and spinning with an air jet circumferentially around a longitudinal axis of a cylindrical cavity with sufficient initial slack to insure engagement with the wall of said cavity. Heat is generated by the spinning action and concentrated in high twist nodal points giving rise to plasticization of the yarn and bonding of adjacent fibers. The spinning device has gripping elements for securing the yarn ends and introducing the necessary predetermined slack.

摘要: A method and apparatus for removing an imperfect portion of a web to form trailing and leading web portions, and splicing the web portions to form a continuous perfect web. The apparatus comprises a pair of fixed, spaced apart knife blades adjacent separate perfect and imperfect web paths, and a moveable knife blade cooperating with the fixed knife blades in succession for severing the web at opposite ends of the imperfect portion to form a trailing web end portion lying in the perfect web path and a leading web end portion lying in the imperfect web path. A web guiding member is coupled to the movable blade for selectively guiding the web along the perfect and imperfect web paths. When the movable blade is returned to its normal position, the web guiding member moves the leading web end portion to the perfect film path in position to be spliced to the trailing web end portion.

摘要: A SUPPORT FRAME FOR THE YARN SPLICING APPARATUS IS PORTABLE AND ADAPTED TO BE SUSPENDED DIRECTLY ON THE RACK WHICH SUPPORTS THE BEAMS OF YARN WHOSE YARN ENDS ARE BEING FED INTO A CARPET TUFTING MACHINE. THE APPARATUS FRAME MAY BE ATTACHED TO THE BEAM RACK AT THE LOCATION OF A SPENT BEAM WHICH IS BE REMOVED FROM THE RACK AND REPLACED BY A FULL BEAM. THE SPLICING APPARATUS HAS MEANS FOR ALIGNING AND SECURING THE YARN ENDS TRAILING FROM THE CARPET WITH A LIKE NUMBER OF YARN ENDS ON A FULL BEAM AND A RADIANT HEAT SPLICING CARRIAGE IS PROPELLED ACROSS A GUIDE TRACK IN CLOSE PROXIMITY TO THE ENDS TO BE FUSED OR SPLICED.
