Abstract: A transport device includes a feeding portion feeding a printing medium, a winding portion winding the printing medium fed from the feeding portion, and a coupling portion coupling the printing medium on a feeding side extending from the feeding portion and the printing medium on a winding side extending from the feeding portion between the feeding portion and the winding portion, wherein the coupling portion includes a cutting table supporting the printing medium, a first fixing roll temporarily fixing the printing medium on the feeding side to the cutting table, and a second fixing roll temporarily fixing the printing medium on the winding side to the cutting table, and the first fixing roll and the second fixing roll temporarily fix each printing medium in a state in which a boundary between the printing medium on the feeding side and the printing medium on the winding side is exposed upward.

Abstract: A method for joining ends of fiber webs with a device comprising a tool element with a gripping device and a traversing punching device. A run of the fiber web from the emptying parent roll is moved to a joining position at the tool element. The trailing end of the parent roll fiber web is cut upstream from the joining position and the fiber web is attached to the tool element by a gripping device of the tool element. An end of a new roll fiber web is guided to contact with and to an overlapping position with the trailing end of the parent roll fiber. The traversing punching device is moved across the width direction of the fiber webs and makes at least one joint cut and joins the fiber webs. The new fiber web is cut downstream from the joint, and then tension control is turned on.

Abstract: A high-speed digital printing system includes two unwinding machines for two input coils for a paper web, an input unwinding and splicing installation and a printing station and in which the input installation supplies, in turn, the printing station with the web of the two coils. The system also includes a splicing and rewinding installation with an output cutting and splicing equipment for an incoming web emerging from the printing station and two rewinding machines with two output coils. The output equipment feeds alternatively the rewinding machines with the incoming web by cutting and splicing of a web of the two output coils without stopping printing. An electronic controller switches the functionality of the output cutting and splicing equipment and of the rewinding machines with setting of the output coils as an operating coil and a waiting coil and, viceversa, as a waiting coil and an operating coil.
