Abstract:
An embroidery device includes a needle including a hole through which a thread has been passed, a dyeing unit configured to dye the thread in different colors, an embroidery unit configured to move the needle to perform a sewing process on a medium with the thread dyed in the different colors by the dyeing unit, and a remover configured to remove the linear member in a vicinity of the needle.
Abstract:
A sewing machine includes a plurality of needle bars to a lower end of each of which a needle can be attached, a display portion that is configured to display various information, a first display control portion that causes the display portion to display replacement information, the replacement information being information pertaining to a replacement needle bar that corresponds to a thread spool for which replacement is necessary and that is at least one of the plurality of the needle bars, a specifying portion that specifies a replacement-completed needle bar during a period in which the replacement information is being displayed on the display portion, the replacement-completed needle bar being a needle bar that corresponds to a thread spool that has been placed after replacement, and a second display control portion that causes the display portion to display a result that has been specified by the specifying portion.
Abstract:
A color switch setting data processing apparatus for a multi-needle embroidery machine is provided by a personal computer or other data processing device. The apparatus causes a display unit to display a stitching sequence and needle bar numbers for color switch setting data. If an insert instruction is produced by indicating the place of insertion by using a cursor and a needle bar number to be inserted is inputted to the place, then the color switch setting data is rewritten by shifting the needle bar number data from the place of insertion and the subsequent places in the stitching sequence, by one place to a later side in the stitching sequence. If a deletion instruction is produced by indicating the place of deletion by using the cursor, the color switch setting data is rewritten by shifting the needle bar number data in the places subsequent, on the later side, to the place of deletion, by one place to an earlier side in the stitching sequence. Thus, the apparatus enables easy insertion of a needle bar number into any place in the stitching sequence and easy deletion of a needle bar number from any place in the stitching sequence in the color switch setting data prepared for a multi-needle embroidery machine.
Abstract:
A thread consumption detecting apparatus includes an axial supporting shaft, a detector lever, a torsional spring, a proximity sensor, and a central processing unit (CPU). The detector lever includes an intermediate portion, a loop-shaped thread-contact end, and a base end. The intermediate portion is fitted idly around the supporting shaft so that the detector lever can swing. The thread-contact end is disposed so as to pass a thread outside the loop-shaped portion. The base end is detected by the proximity sensor. A swinging stroke of the detector lever is disposed so as to interfere with a thread-transfer-route variation range resulting from a fluctuation in tension of the thread. The torsional spring urges the detector lever in one swinging direction. The proximity sensor detects the base end on approach when the detector lever is swung by the tension of the thread. The CPU judges whether the thread is consumed or not in accordance with a signal output from the proximity sensor.
Abstract:
Method to delete and reintroduce individual yarns as needed when they are being fed to a textile process by cutting an individual yarn, that is being forwarded to the process, rapidly to prevent producing a disruptive tension change in the process or in other yarns being forwarded to the process to produce an upstream cut end of an individual yarn; holding the upstream cut end of said individual yarn in an elongated condition at a ready position for reintroducing to the process; and reintroducing said yarn at said ready position to the textile process according to the following steps; metering said individual yarn from said source at a controlled rate; passing said cut end of yarn with a first individual yarn forwarding jet for forwarding said cut end from said ready position and maintaining said cut end of yarn in an elongated condition during said metering; directing said elongated, cut end of yarn in a path past an individual yarn cutter; passing for forwarding said elongated cut end of yarn from said cutter and along an individual yarn path, and maintaining said cut end of yarn in an elongated condition during said passing; and converging said elongated, cut end of yarn with a plurality of individual yarn paths for said plurality of yarns for forwarding said yarn to said textile process.
Abstract:
Embroidery machine including several hundred embroidery locations each of which includes the following tools; a needle, a stiletto, a thread guide and a thread brake with respective drives. At least two actuators for connecting or disconnecting the tools from their respective drives are associated with every embroidery location. No more than one switching element, such as a shuttle spool valve is provided for each embroidery location which is switchable so as to switch all the actuators of said embroidery location jointly. Such a switching arrangement permits efficient switching of the tools enabling selective switching of only the tools of a switching point the embroidering/non-embroidering state of which is to be changed.
Abstract:
A color display apparatus adapted to be used in an electronic sewing machine. The apparatus consists of a sewing pattern selector, a color display for displaying the pattern selected by the selector, a fabric color sensing system, an upper thread color sensing system, and a display color controller. Fabric color information, upper thread color information, and pattern information are inputted to the display color controller. The controller operates the color display. An operator monitors the matching condition of the color of the fabric and upper thread in order to obtain the desirable matching of them in the pattern selected by means of the display color controller.
Abstract:
A relatively great number of embroidering locations with the appropriate embroidering implements are arranged in at least one row. The embroidering implements are capable of being coupled to and uncoupled from the embroidering implement drive of the embroidering machine according to a predetermined repetition and color-change program by electromagnetic actuation devices. The pattern and machine-function control of the embroidering machine is performed via a data carrier whose reading and evaluation unit controls a pattern and machine-function control device. Data for the repetition and color-change program are also placed on this data carrier for pattern and machine-function control. Suitable further data are also placed on this data carrier for actuating a switch associated with the reading and evaluation unit for transmitting the repetition and color-change program to an embroidering location control device connected to the electromagnetic actuation devices of the embroidering implements. The employment of the same data carrier hitherto employed for pattern and machine-function control also for the repetition and color-change programs, has the great advantage that all devices for introducing or correcting data on the data carrier, for reading such data and for archiving the data carriers can be retained and that there can be used a relatively uncomplicated design for the control switch and the embroidering location control device.
Abstract:
A thread connecting device for a sewing machine cuts an upper thread which is extending between the sewing machine and one of a plurality of thread spools, and connects an end of a thread belonging to the sewing machine and an end of a thread belonging to the thread spool, in such a manner that the connected part of the threads can smoothly pass through a needle eye, whereby it is possible to supply a desired color thread with respect to the sewing machine having a single needle bar. Therefore the applicable scope of the pattern stitching may be largely widened for colored clothes or other fabrics, especially an embroidery stitching may be performed which requires many kinds of color threads.
Abstract:
At an embroidery machine there are mounted and displaceably guided two rows of embroidering implement rods which can be connected so as to be operatively coupled or decoupled in accordance with a desired program to a related one of two operatively associated oscillating drive rails. The embroidering implement rods which are related to the same embroidery location or position and which are, for instance, arranged in superimposed relation, can be simultaneously coupled to or decoupled from the operatively associated drive rail by means of a common switching lever. This switching lever can be actuated either directly or manually by means of adjustment levers and automatically by means of an electromagnetic device. This individual switching of all implements of an embroidery location enables easily adjusting any desired combination of working and inactive embroidery locations.
