摘要: An endoscopic tissue snare system comprising: a sleeve adapted to be slid over the exterior of an endoscope; a pair of push tubes slidably mounted to the sleeve, each of the push tubes comprising a distal opening and a proximal opening; a distal balloon secured to the distal ends of the pair of push tubes; and a snare comprising a pair of free ends and an intermediate portion disposed between the pair of free ends, wherein the snare extends into the proximal opening of one push tube, up the length of the push tube, out the distal opening of that push tube, across the face of the distal balloon, into the distal opening of the other push tube, down the length of that push tube, and out the proximal opening of that push tube.

摘要: A medical image processing method includes: determining a target mask of a target object in a medical image and a reference mask of a reference object in the medical image, the target mask indicating a position and a boundary of the target object, and the reference mask indicating a position and a boundary of the reference object; determining a feature size of the target object based on the target mask; determining a feature size of the reference object based on the reference mask; and determining a target size of the target object based on the feature size of the reference object, a preset mapping relationship between the feature size of the reference object and a reference size, and the feature size of the target object.

摘要: The invention is an improved colonoscopy system and method. The disclosed system includes the use of a tiny, wired capsule that can be magnetically controlled through the upper and/or lower GI tract of a patient. The capsule includes a camera assembly and a light assembly to allow a medical professional to visualize an interior cavity of the patient. The capsule further includes one or more internal magnets. The capsule is configured with an outer covering that protects the internal components from damage during use. An external magnet is also provided to drive and orient the capsule through the patient's body via magnetic attraction with the internal magnet.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to computer-implemented systems and methods for training and using generative adversarial networks. In one implementation, a system for training a generative adversarial network may include at least one processor that may provide a first plurality of images including representations of a feature-of-interest and indicators of locations of the feature-of-interest and use the first plurality and indicators to train an object detection network. Further, the processor(s) may provide a second plurality of images including representation of the feature-of-interest, and apply the trained object detection network to the second plurality to produce a plurality of detections of the feature-of-interest. Additionally, the processor(s) may provide manually set verifications of true positives and false positives with respect to the plurality of detections, use the verifications tr train a generative adversarial network, and retrain the generative adversarial network using at least one further set of images, further detections, and further manually set verifications.

摘要: Devices and systems have a sensor probe configured to measure tissue oxygen saturation in the intestine or mesentery. The devices and systems can determine the oxygenation state of the entire thickness of the intestine or mesentery. Embodiments of the invention also include methods for inducing a temporary ischemic period in an intestine or mesentery tissue and analyzing changes in oxygen saturation of the tissue during the temporary ischemic period or during a recovery phase. The devices, systems, and methods can be applied in diagnosing intestinal ischemia in a patient, as well as in monitoring tissue oxygen saturation of the intestine or mesentery during or after a surgical procedure.

摘要: Improved methods and devices for performing an endoscopic surgery are provided. Systems are taught for operatively treating gastrointestinal disorders endoscopically in a stable, yet dynamic operative environment, and in a minimally-invasive manner. Such systems include, for example, an endoscopic surgical suite. The surgical suite can have a reversibly-expandable retractor that expands to provide a stable, operative environment within a subject. The expansion can be asymmetric around a stabilizer subsystem to maximize space for a tool and an endoscope to each be maneuvered independently to visualize a target tissue and treat the target tissue from outside the patient in a minimally invasive manner.

The ingestible device may further comprise a camera that is configured to generate images of various in vivo environments as the ingestible device traverses the living body. These images may be wirelessly transmitted to an electronic device located outside of the living body to enable greater control over the intervention tool.

摘要: Systems and methods of in situ unclogging a working channel in a medical device during a procedure are disclosed. An exemplary unclogging system comprises a flow sensor to sense a flow rate through a working channel, and a control module to detect a channel state indicating a presence or absence of clogging based on the flow rate. In the presence of channel clogging, the control module can control one or more of an irrigation source or a suction source to provide respectively irrigation fluid or suction pressure to unclog the obstructed channel. The control module can adjust one or more of an irrigation flow rate or a suction flow rate through the working channel to maintain a desired pressure of the anatomical environment at the anatomical site, or to maintain a desired flow condition in the working channel, during the procedure.
