摘要: The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a needle for inserting a transcutaneous sensor, the needle having a simple structure, having a low manufacturing unit price, and being more easily coupled to the sensor; and a needle assembly. The needle, according to the present invention, in an applicator for inserting, into the skin of a user, a sensor for measuring biometrics, so as to be insertable into the skin of the user together with the sensor, comprises: a needle body, which has a first channel accommodating the sensor and is inserted into the skin of the user; and a needle head that is thicker than the needle body, wherein the needle body and the needle head are integrated by being press-processed from the same base material.

摘要: A vascular access system may include an introducer needle, which may include a sharp distal tip, a proximal end, and an introducer needle lumen. The vascular access system may include a sensing probe slidably disposed within the introducer needle lumen. A distal end of the sensing probe may include one or more sensors and may be disposed within the introducer needle lumen in an initial configuration. The introducer needle may be configured to retract in response to the distal end of the sensing probe being advanced beyond the sharp distal tip. A method may include inserting the introducer needle into a vein or an artery of a patient, advancing the distal end of the sensing probe beyond the sharp distal tip such that the introducer needle is retracted, and the sensing probe remains in the vein or the artery, and receiving sensor data from the one or more sensors.

摘要: A sensor assembly for sensing a physiological characteristic of a user includes a power source, a power control switch, and a power latch within a housing. The power control switch is electrically coupled to the power source, and is configured to inhibit delivery of power from the power source to one or more components of the sensor assembly before deployment of the sensor assembly to a user, and deliver power from the power source to the one or more components of the sensor assembly in response to the deployment of the sensor assembly to the user. The power latch is configured to, upon the deployment of the sensor assembly to the user, latch an output of the power control switch to maintain the delivery of power from the power source to the one or more components of the sensor assembly while the sensor assembly is in a deployed state.

摘要: The present invention relates to a sensor applicator assembly for a continuous glucose monitoring system and provides a sensor applicator assembly for a continuous glucose monitoring system, which is manufactured with a sensor module assembled inside an applicator, thereby minimizing additional work by a user for attaching the sensor module to the body and allowing the sensor module to be attached to the body simply by operating the applicator, and thus can be used more conveniently. A battery is built in the sensor module and a separate transmitter is connected to the sensor module so as to receive power supply from the sensor module and be continuously used semi-permanently, thereby making the assembly economical. The sensor module and the applicator are used disposables, thereby allowing accurate and safe use and convenient maintenance.
