Abstract: There is provided herein a tip section for an endoscope assembly that includes a fluid distribution device for circulating fluid for cleaning a body cavity. In an embodiment, the tip section includes a groove aligned with side jet channels, where multiple holes drilled above the groove, through the periphery of a tip cover covering the tip section, provide an exit for the fluid circulated by the side jet channels in all directions around the tip cover. In another embodiment, the tip section includes a removable attachment that covers jet channel openings. Multiple holes drilled through the cover provide a multiple jet exit for the fluid circulated by the jet channels in multiple directions around the tip cover.

Abstract: A mouth mirror apparatus includes a carrier seat that has first and second receiving spaces and multiple outlet passages embedded in a surrounding wall and intercommunicating the first and second receiving spaces. The mouth mirror apparatus further includes a handle grip cooperating with the carrier seat to define an air inlet passage that communicates with the second receiving space, a mirror body rotatably disposed in the first receiving space, and an impeller connected to the mirror body and driven by air which flows from the air inlet passage. Through combination of the mirror body, the impeller, and the arrangement of the air outlet passages, the mouth mirror apparatus can direct air current to render different functions.

Abstract: The present invention provides an improved visual laryngeal mask comprising a tube, an end of the tube is provided with a fixing seat. The fixing seat is provided with an airbag, and the fixing seat has a recess which is provided with an airway opening. An imaging cavity extends longitudinally inside an inner wall of the tube. The imaging cavity has a built-in imaging device, and the imaging cavity protrudes forward relative to the airway opening to form a stopper which prevents an epiglottis from blocking the imaging device. A front end of the stopper is concaved to form a recess, and an opening of the imaging cavity is located at a low point of the recess.

Abstract: An apparatus includes a shaft assembly and a distal endoscope cap. A flexible distal portion of the shaft assembly is laterally deflectable relative to a rigid proximal portion of the shaft assembly. The shaft assembly defines a working channel sized and configured to enable advancement of a working element. The distal endoscope cap is configured to attach to the distal end of the shaft assembly. The distal endoscope cap has an outer diameter that is larger than the outer diameter of the flexible distal portion. The distal endoscope cap includes a body having at least one coupling member for attaching the distal endoscope cap to the distal end of the shaft assembly, at least one image sensor secured to the body for visualizing an anatomical structure, and at least one illuminating element secured to the body for illuminating a field of view of the at least one image sensor.

Abstract: An access device for accessing an intervertebral disc having an outer shield comprising an access shield with a larger diameter (˜16-30 mm) that reaches from the skin down to the facet line, with an inner shield having a second smaller diameter (˜5-12 mm) extending past the access shield and reaches down to the disc level. This combines the benefits of the direct visual microsurgical/mini open approaches and the percutaneous, “ultra-MIS” techniques.
