Abstract: A computer-implemented method for determining a grid stability of an electrical energy grid. A communication device receives a dataset with parameters for components of the electrical energy grid and a model generation device generates a root-mean-square model and an electromagnetic transient model based on the parameters. Then a performance device calculates a respective performance property for the root-mean-square model and the electromagnetic transient model and a difference value is determined between the two performance properties by an assessment device. When the difference value exceeds a difference threshold value, the electromagnetic transient model is selected. Otherwise the root-mean-square model is selected. There is also described a corresponding arrangement and a corresponding computer program product.

Abstract: Support of coexistence of wireless transmission equipment in shared wireless medium environments is disclosed, which is applicable to various types of wireless transmission equipment. For instance, a wireless power transmission system (WPTS) delivers power to wireless power receiver clients via transmission of wireless power signals using one or more frequencies and/or channels within shared wireless medium environments in which other wireless equipment is operating, such as access points and stations in wireless local area networks (WLANs). The WPTS is configured to co-exist with the operations of the other wireless equipment within the shared wireless medium environment by adapting its transmission operations to utilize frequencies or channels that do not interfere with other equipment and/or implementing co-channel and shared channels operations under which access to channels is implemented using standardized WLAN protocols such as PHY and MAC protocols used for 802.11 (Wi-Fi™) networks.

An alternating-current (AC) side energy routing conversion device of the energy Internet system includes a plurality of first route ports, and a direct-current (DC) side energy routing conversion device includes a plurality of second route ports, where each second route port is connected to a corresponding first route port by means of a corresponding DC busbar. A plurality of energy devices are connected to a DC busbar by means of corresponding first AC/DC converters or first DC converters. The AC side energy routing conversion device and the DC side energy routing conversion device collect energy information of the energy devices and adjust energy of the energy devices on a basis of energy balance constraint conditions.

Abstract: A power calculation apparatus calculates an amount of power suppliable and demandable between a battery and a power grid. The power calculation apparatus includes a microprocessor and a memory connected to the microprocessor. The microprocessor is configured to perform: predicting the amount of power suppliable and demandable between the battery and the power grid at a predetermined point in time to calculate a prediction value of the amount of power suppliable and demandable; and switching a calculation logic to be applied to a calculation of the prediction value, based on a length of duration from a present point in time to the predetermined point in time.

Abstract: Systems and methods for market-based financial settlement in an electric power grid are disclosed. At least one active grid element is constructed and configured in network communication with a settlement processor. The at least one active grid element participates in the electric power grid by consuming power, supplying power, and/or curtailing power to provide operating reserves and/or grid stability for the electric power grid. The at least one active grid element generates at least one kilowatt packet (KWP) unit based upon measured data for the participation in the electric power grid. The at least one active grid element transmits at least one IP-based settlement message to the settlement processor. The settlement processor provides a market-based financial settlement for the participation of the at least one active grid element based on the at least one KWP unit in real time or near real time.

At least one active grid element is constructed and configured in network-based communication with a server via at least one coordinator. The at least one active grid element communicates Internet Protocol (IP)-based messages with the server via the at least one coordinator in real time or less than 15 minutes interval. The at least one active grid element participates actively in an electric power grid. The at least one active grid element has an energy consumption pattern or an energy supply pattern. The IP-based messages comprise at least one IP packet including a content, a priority, a security, and a transport route. The content comprises an amount of power available for the electric power grid or an amount of curtailment power available at an attachment point of the at least one grid element.
