Abstract: In order to estimate states of health of batteries storing electrical energy significantly indicated by battery capacity and battery internal resistance, by which the estimation of states of health of batteries, deteriorated over time usage, is automated and carried out without a need of any specific test such as a capacity test and the usage of data out of normal operation, it is proposed to collect data from normal operation of a battery storing electrical energy relating to battery-internal physical properties such as a terminal direct current IDC, a terminal direct voltage UDV and a battery cell temperature T due to battery measurements and the determination or estimation, based on this data and a battery model, of a model parameter by solving an optimization-/model parameter estimation-problem and minimizing a difference between the battery model and the battery measurements.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for determining a grid stability of an electrical energy grid. A communication device receives a dataset with parameters for components of the electrical energy grid and a model generation device generates a root-mean-square model and an electromagnetic transient model based on the parameters. Then a performance device calculates a respective performance property for the root-mean-square model and the electromagnetic transient model and a difference value is determined between the two performance properties by an assessment device. When the difference value exceeds a difference threshold value, the electromagnetic transient model is selected. Otherwise the root-mean-square model is selected. There is also described a corresponding arrangement and a corresponding computer program product.

Abstract: An electricity grid is provided including an AC electricity grid and a DC electricity grid coupled thereto via a converter, a first load flow in the AC electricity grid is modeled by a first load flow model and a second load flow in the DC electricity grid is modeled by a second load flow model. The converter controls an active power flow between the AC electricity grid and the DC electricity grid in dependence on a grid voltage of the DC electricity grid, wherein this dependence is adjustable in a control characteristic of the converter by a first coupling parameter.
