摘要: A method for managing state of charge of a battery of an electric work vehicle to be ready to return to work at a return to work time. Data comprising an expected date and time of return to work is obtained from the output of a user interface and used to calculate an expected duration of immobilization of the electric work vehicle. A charge rate is determined based on the expected duration of immobilization of the work vehicle and a targeted charge increase. A charging start time is calculated such that at the return to work time an actual state of charge of the battery is a target operational state of charge value. The temperature of the battery is adjusted such that the battery is at a target temperature at the charging start time. The charge cycle is started at the charging start time.

摘要: A vehicle includes an engine block heater, a traction battery, and a controller. The controller, responsive to a temperature being less than a threshold, charges the traction battery with grid energy until a state of charge of the traction battery achieves a charge target. The controller is further programmed to, responsive to the state of charge achieving the target, discharge the traction battery to power the engine block heater until the state of charge falls below a discharge target or the temperature achieves a temperature target. The controller is also programmed to, responsive to the charge falling below the discharge target, charge the traction battery with grid energy until the state of charge achieves the charge target. Additionally, the controller is programmed to, responsive to a temperature achieving a temperature target, inhibit charging and discharging the traction battery.

摘要: A computer system is configured to receive a start position and a planned destination position for an electric vehicle of a vehicle type, estimate energy consumption and variance for at least one route between the start position and the destination position for the vehicle type, based on reference energy consumption vehicle data collected from secondary vehicles, calculate a confidence interval for the estimated energy consumption and variance at a predetermined confidence level, determine a present energy level in the electrical energy storage system, in response to the present energy level being below the confidence interval upper limit, control the vehicle according to a first mode, the first mode including a first route between the start position and the destination position, and in response to the present energy level exceeding or being equal to the confidence interval upper limit, control the vehicle according to a second mode, the second mode including a second route between the start position and the destination position.

摘要: A method for controlling a level of charge of a traction battery of an electric vehicle connected to an electricity distribution grid by way of a charger during a downtime phase of the vehicle. The method includes a first step of forcibly discharging the battery, performed in a discharging circuit associated with the battery, with a discharge current that is calibrated in terms of strength with respect to the nominal capacity of the battery, so as to slowly and completely discharge the battery to its minimum voltage, and a step of normally charging the battery with a setpoint charging current prescribed by the charger or the battery, so as to charge the battery to a useful level of charge of the battery.
