Abstract: In an embodiment, a phase circuit includes: a bidirectional output stage configured to be coupled between a first battery and a second battery; a memory configured to store a number of active phases, and an identifier; and a synchronization circuit configured to receive a first clock signal and determine a start time of a switching cycle of the bidirectional output stage based on the number of active phases, the identifier, and the first clock signal, where the phase circuit is configured to control the timing of the switching of the bidirectional output stage based on the start time.

order the unselected battery to be connected to the DC power supply bus, and said auxiliary battery (B_AUX) to be charged by placing it in series with the unselected battery and by switching the cells of said unselected battery in order to control a charge current (I_aux) for said auxiliary battery.-

The combined unit includes an enclosure enclosing: an on board charger (OBC); a direct current converter (DC-DC); and a single cold plate thermally coupled to both the OBC and the DC-DC, the single cold plate configured to provide cooling for both the OBC and the DC-DC. Abstract: A controller, responsive to a command to fast charge a traction battery, initiates a discharge pulse of the traction battery that charges an auxiliary battery, and following the discharge pulse, initiates a charge of the traction battery such that a voltage of the traction battery decreases to a peak minimum value during the discharge pulse and continually increases immediately after the peak minimum value without dwelling at a constant value to preclude rest of the traction battery between the discharge pulse and charge of the traction battery.

Thus, energy is supplied from the first power storage device 4 to the second power storage device 5 while an output voltage of the first power storage device 4 is stepped down.-

Abstract: A vehicle includes a vehicle drive power storage device including a power battery pack and a first capacity battery pack and a second capacity battery pack that has at least a smaller capacity than the first capacity battery pack and supplies electric power to the power battery pack. The power battery pack and the capacity battery packs are coupled in parallel. The capacity battery packs have a higher capacity and lower power than the power battery pack. The vehicle further includes a switch mechanism, a control device, and a load. The control device: preferentially supplies electric power from the power battery pack to the load when the vehicle accelerates; and, when a velocity of the vehicle is constant, supplies electric power from the second capacity battery pack to the power battery pack, concurrently with supplying electric power from the first capacity battery pack to the load.
