Abstract: Various embodiments are described that relate to a proportional-integral-derivative controller. The proportional-integral-derivative controller obtains an input voltage and from the input voltage produces an output voltage. Achievement of a particular output voltage can be accomplished through variable resistances in the proportional-integral-derivative controller. To realize these variable resistances, a switching capacitor set can be employed. The switching capacitor set can include individual capacitors with switches. The switches can function with a switching frequency. The switching frequency causes individual capacitors to function with an effective resistance. The resistance can directly correspond to the switching frequency. To change the resistance, the switching frequency can be changed.

Abstract: A method of operating an electrical feeder permits the electrical feeder voltage to be maintained at the minimum voltage within a voltage range based upon dynamic grouping together of electrical generators on the electrical feeder with demand response loads on the electrical feeder. A method of assessing the proper operation of a voltage control device on the electrical feeder involves detecting a number of properties of the electrical power in the electrical feeder both prior to and subsequent to a change in an operational parameter of a voltage control device. An expected effect upon the electrical feeder of one or more distributed generators is filtered from this in order to determine a net effect of the voltage control device itself on the electrical feeder. Based upon the detected net effect and a predicted baseline effect for the voltage control device, it can be determined whether the voltage control device is functioning properly.

Abstract: Provided is a leakage current compensation circuit including: a compensation MOS transistor, which has a drain and a source connected to each other, and a bulk connected to a ground terminal, and is configured to generate a compensation current that is equal in magnitude to a leakage current of a MOS transistor of a current output circuit; and a current mirror circuit, which has an input terminal connected to the drain and the source of the compensation MOS transistor, and an output terminal connected to the MOS transistor of the current output circuit. The leakage current compensation circuit includes the MOS transistor for compensation for the leakage current, which has a small area, and is capable of compensating for a gate leakage current.

Abstract: A circuit for clamping current in a charge pump is disclosed. The charge pump includes switching circuitry having a number of switching circuitry transistors. Each of first and second pairs of transistors in the circuit can provide an additional path for current from its associated one of the switching circuitry transistors during off-switching of that transistor so that a spike in current from the switching circuitry transistor is only partially transmitted through a path extending between the switching circuitry transistor and a capacitor of the charge pump.

Abstract: A power sharing device and method thereof are disclosed herein. The power sharing device includes a control unit, multiple regulators and multiple feedback circuits. Each regulator includes a first input terminal, a second input terminal and an output terminal. The control unit generates multiple pulse-width modulation signals. The first input terminal receives one of multiple input voltages. The second input terminal receives one of the pulse width modulation signals. The output terminal selectively outputs an output power. Each feedback circuit is coupled between the second input terminal and the output terminal of one of the regulators. The output terminals of the regulators are coupled to a load, and the regulators selectively output the output power one at a time and in rotation according to the input voltages and duty cycles of the pulse-width modulation signals.
