摘要: An automatic venturi vacuum regulator includes a housing having a pressure inlet port and a vacuum outlet port; a venturi vacuum pump within the housing, the venturi vacuum pump configured to receive compressed air from the pressure inlet port in order to generate suction at the vacuum outlet port; a movable piston configured to seal the pressure inlet port from the venturi vacuum pump responsive to a sufficient pressure differential between the vacuum outlet port and the pressure inlet port; and a check valve configured to seal the vacuum outlet port from the venturi vacuum pump to resist loss of vacuum at the vacuum outlet port.

摘要: A safety apparatus is for containers loaded by gas pressure, in particular the gas side (13) of hydropneumatic devices such as hydraulic accumulators (1). The safety apparatus has a connection device (19) that can be attached to the pressure chamber of the container to form a passage (25) between the gas side (13) of the container and the outside. A structure (27) normally blocks the passage (25) and under the influence of temperature can be transferred into a state that allows a flow path through the passage (25) to be cleared.

摘要: An actuator assist apparatus for use with an actuator has a housing and a piston member slidably disposed in the housing. The piston member divides the interior of the housing into a first fluid chamber and a second fluid chamber. The actuator assist apparatus is configurable between a first, primed, configuration and an activated configuration. A force applicator is configured to store energy when the apparatus is in the primed configuration and release the energy to move the piston member relative to the housing. Movement of the piston member applies a force which assists in urging the actuator towards an extended configuration, thereby reducing the minimum operating pressure of the actuator.

摘要: A method of detecting an accumulator failure is provided. The method may comprise measuring a first pressure on a gas-side of an accumulator, measuring a second pressure on a fluid-side of the accumulator, finding a difference between the first pressure and the second pressure, and comparing the difference to a predetermined threshold. A system for detecting an accumulator failure is also provided. The system may comprise a non-transitory memory communicating with a processor, the non-transitory memory having instructions stored thereon that, in response to execution by the processor, cause the processor to perform operations. The operations may include receiving a first pressure measurement, receiving a second pressure measurement, determining a difference between the first pressure measurement and the second pressure measurement, and detecting the accumulator failure based on the difference.

摘要: The present invention is a distributed piston elastomeric accumulator which stores energy when its elastomeric member stretches from its original length in response to the flow of a pressurized fluid. The stored energy is returned when the fluid flow is reversed and the accumulator discharges the fluid as its elastomeric member returns to its original length and moves the piston to its initial position. At least one part of the novelty of the invention is that the accumulator is not subject to radial strain gradients and the accumulator allows for precise pressure and linear position measurements. Accordingly, the invention allows for optimization of the energy strain storage capacity of a given elastomer.
