Abstract: A valve for a fluid reservoir includes an inner portion configured to be arranged inside the reservoir, the inner portion including at least one portion of a sensor for measuring at least one parameter characterizing the fluid, the valve being capable of receiving information from a computer, external to the valve, the valve also includes an outer portion configured to be arranged outside the reservoir, the outer portion having an internal computer that acquires data from the at least one sensor, communicates bidirectionally with the external computer, takes into account information received from the external computer and data from the at least one sensor for controlling at least one actuator of the valve, and measures at least one current parameter in the electrical connection.

Abstract: In one example, a portable fuel gas system includes: a portable enclosure; a fuel gas supply manifold; a throttle in fluid communication with the fuel gas supply manifold. The fuel gas supply manifold includes a first pressure zone and a second pressure zone separated from one another by the throttle; and a fuel gas shutoff valve in fluid communication with the fuel gas supply manifold and operative to control a flow of a fuel gas in the fuel gas supply manifold, wherein the fuel gas supply manifold, the throttle, and the fuel gas shutoff valve are disposed within the portable enclosure.

Abstract: A pressure control device including a valve with a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet, wherein the fluid inlet is in selective fluid communication with the fluid outlet. A heat collector is adapted to cover portion of an envelope of a pressure vessel and operative to receive heat from a heat source. A sensing element is in thermal communication with the heat collector and operative to receive the heat from the heat source. Operative to receiving heat from the sensing element receives the heat, the sensing element actuates the valve to establish the selective fluid communication between the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet.

Abstract: A vessel includes a body that defines an interior space. The body includes a first metal surface, a second metal surface, and a non-metallic material crimped between the first metal surface and the second metal surface at a joint. The vessel further includes a pressure relief device coupled to the body. The pressure relief device is configured to vent contents of the vessel to an exterior of the body. Upon exposure of the vessel to a temperature for a period of time, the second metal surface is configured to expand or bend to create a pressure relief route from the interior space to the pressure relief device, between the first metal surface and the second metal surface, and/or the non-metallic material is configured to melt to create the pressure relief route.

Abstract: A system, method and apparatus are disclosed for enabling the efficient utilization of hydrogen as an emissions-free fuel for airships and other aircraft, including in one embodiment for transporting cryogenic hydrogen as the airship's payload. A system, method and apparatus are disclosed to provide substantially higher net energy density for the propulsion system, optimizing the weight of the cryogenic tanks, utilizing boiloff directly or indirectly for propulsion power, and employing a novel thermal management system both to cool the fuel cells and help regulate the conversion of liquid hydrogen into gas. A system, method and apparatus are also disclosed for ground-based facilities including strategically located depots, optionally supplied by such hydrogen transport vehicles, and utilizing a novel thermal compression system to store, pressurize and distribute hydrogen, including but not limited to gaseous hydrogen pipelines, transport trailers, and dispensing systems.

Wherein a gas/liquid phase separation means is provided, which is supplied with the liquid/gas two-phase fluid from the tank and carries out a separation of a substantially liquid phase and a substantially gaseous phase of the cryogenic fluid, the substantially liquid phase being directed toward the user station; wherein the gas/liquid phase separation means has a gas outlet.
