Abstract: A track-type loader machine includes a main frame, laterally spaced track roller frames, an equalizer bar pivotally mounted to the main frame and attached to the roller frames, a work implement movably connected to the main frame by a plurality of linkages, and at least one cross-slope actuator which connects one of the roller frames to the main frame. The at least one cross-slope actuator is configured to tilt the work implement and the plurality of linkages in conjunction with the main frame relative to a pivoting axis of the equalizer bar.

Abstract: A method for monitoring health of a hydraulic fluid subsystem is presented. The method includes determining a plurality of forces acting on an actuator of the hydraulic fluid subsystem, determining a plurality of parameters based on at least one of an actuator inlet flow rate, an actuator outlet flow rate, and the plurality of forces acting on the actuator, receiving a valve inlet pressure of at least one of oil and gas flowing through a pipe while entering a valve operationally coupled to the actuator and a valve outlet pressure of the at least one of the oil and the gas flowing through the pipe while flowing out of the valve, and monitoring the health of the hydraulic fluid subsystem based on at least one of the plurality of parameters, the valve inlet pressure, and the valve outlet pressure.

Abstract: An actuator system includes a piston-cylinder arrangement including a piston that is movable with respect to a cylinder. A first flow path is in fluid communication with the piston-cylinder arrangement and a second flow path is in fluid communication with the piston-cylinder arrangement. A control system is operable to fluidly connect the first flow path to a source of high-pressure fluid and to connect the second flow path to a drain to move the piston in a first direction. A pressure sensor is fluidly connected to the first flow path and is operable to measure sufficient pressure data during the movement of the piston to generate a pressure versus time curve. The control system is operable to compare the generated pressure versus time curve to a known standard pressure versus time curve stored in the control system to determine the condition of the piston-cylinder arrangement.

Abstract: A linear actuator system includes a linear actuator and at least one integrated pump assembly connected to the linear actuator to provide fluid to operate the linear actuator. The integrated pump assembly includes a pump with at least one fluid driver comprising a prime mover and a fluid displacement assembly to be driven by the prime mover such that fluid is transferred from a first port of the pump to a second port of the pump. The pump assembly also includes two valve assembles to isolate the pump from the system. The linear actuator system also includes a controller that establishes at least one of a speed and a torque of the at least one prime mover to exclusively adjust at least one of a flow and a pressure in the linear actuator system to an operational set point.

Abstract: A hydraulic elevator may comprise a bidirectional pump that controls up and down motion of an elevator car. A VVVF drive may cause the bidirectional pump to provide working fluid in a controlled manner to a hydraulic jack that supports the elevator car. A control valve may be disposed between the bidirectional pump and the hydraulic jack so that the control valve can be closed when the elevator car needs to be held in place. To avoid pressure waves that propagate when the control valve is opened with disparate pressures on the pump and jack sides of the control valve, the bidirectional pump may adjust the pressure on the pump side of the closed control valve to the pressure on the jack side of the control valve before the control valve is opened.
