摘要: A guiding and sealing unit for a shock absorber rod, including a bushing and a sealing assembly including a sealing ring made of an elastomeric material and having at least one annular lip that projects radially and axially towards an axis of symmetry (A) of the unit, and an annular shield that supports and is integral with the sealing ring is provided. The annular shield is formed by a metallic sleeve having a first axial end portion that integrally supports the sealing ring, and from which the annular lip extends in a cantilever fashion inside the metallic sleeve, and a second end portion that integrally houses the annular bushing inside itself.

摘要: The present invention addresses the technical problem of providing an actuator which is provided to prevent leakage through a rod in a hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder-type actuator, and in which an existing sealing member may be used, and in particular, a cable (wire) may be used as a rod for solving the problem regardless of surface roughness thereof. An actuator for solving the above-mentioned problem in accordance with the present invention includes: a cylinder having an inner portion filled with a fluid and a front cover for closing a front end portion thereof; a piston displaced inside the cylinder by the fluid; a sealing member having one end portion fixed to the piston and the other end portion fixed to the front cover; and an operation member inserted in the sealing member and having one end portion fixed to the piston and the other end portion extending out of the front cover. In the present invention, due to the above-mentioned configuration, the sealing of a fluid (f) is already achieved by the sealing member, and thus, the operation member serves a moving function if only slipping relative to the sealing member in the sealing member. Accordingly, a rod or a cable does not need to move while being in close contact with the sealing member. Therefore, as in conventional arts, the present invention has merits in that a remarkable improvement is achieved in terms of wear of the sealing member, and it is not necessary to smoothly and precisely process the rod and to smoothly and hardly coat the cable.

摘要: An actuator includes a ram structure slidably mounted within a cylinder structure bore and defines with the cylinder structure a gap therebetween. A fluid passageway structure in the ram structure defines a path for fluid to flow through the ram structure and includes an outlet in a sidewall of the ram structure. A cushioning seal located between the ram structure and the cylinder structure can engage the ram structure and a cylinder cap during ram structure extension such that the seal substantially closes off a first portion of the gap extending from the seal toward an open end of the cylinder structure. The cushioning seal can move during ram structure retraction in a direction of ram structure retraction such that fluid flowing out of the ram structure sidewall outlet, when the outlet is in the gap first portion, flows between the seal and the cylinder cap.

摘要: A hydraulic cylinder is disclosed. The hydraulic cylinder may have an outer cylindrical tube including an open end, a first female threaded portion, and a second female threaded portion. The hydraulic cylinder may also have a movable element received in the outer cylindrical tube through the open end. Further, the hydraulic cylinder may have a sleeve holder engaged with the first female threaded portion to seal an annular space between the outer cylindrical tube and the movable element. The sleeve holder may have a first male threaded portion mating with the first female threaded portion. In addition, the hydraulic cylinder may have a locking ring engaged with the second female threaded portion to secure the sleeve holder to the outer cylindrical tube. The locking ring may have a second male threaded portion mating with the second female threaded portion.

摘要: A linear actuator is used with a vacuum chamber in which plasma is generated. The linear actuator comprises a moving member extending between the exterior and the interior of the vacuum chamber through an opening provided in the vacuum chamber so as to be rectilinearly reciprocated, a drive section configured to reciprocate the moving member, a cover that covers the moving member, and a slide seal section that provides a seal between the interior and the exterior of the vacuum chamber while allowing the cover to slide thereon. The cover covers a range of the moving member which is moved into both of the interior and the exterior of the vacuum chamber while the moving member is reciprocated by the drive section, and an outer surface of the cover is smaller in the amount of gas adsorption per unit area than an outer surface of the moving member.

摘要: A pressurized fluid-powered actuator includes a housing and a striker movably coupled to the housing. Resilient sealing means are positioned between the striker and the housing. The sealing means are compressible so as to seal an end of the housing responsive to a force exerted on the sealing means by the striker in a first direction toward the housing. Releasable retaining means are operatively coupled to the striker and are structured to prevent motion of the striker in a second direction opposite the first direction prior to activation of the actuator, and responsive to a reaction force in the second direction exerted on the striker by the sealing means when the sealing means is compressed.

摘要: A double-effect hydraulic actuating cylinder, particularly for hydraulic steering devices and for marine outboard motors, includes a cylinder slidably fitted on a coaxial rod, or vice versa, which sealingly projects out a head of the cylinder and carries a separating piston dividing the cylinder into two variable volume chambers, each connected to one of two inlets/outlets of the pump and a sealing head for the mutual sliding of cylinder and rod. The rod is non-slidably connected to a bracket fastening the cylinder to the motor, and an idler arm is secured to the motor and integral with the cylinder. At least one of the sealing heads include a sealing element engaging the inner side walls of one of the two variable-volume chambers, and a separate, coaxial plug element placed at the end parts of the cylinder and preventing the sealing element from sliding.

摘要: Low-pressure and high-pressure reciprocating and rotary applications use seal assemblies to prevent leakage. One embodiment of a seal assembly includes a major annular body having opposing spaced-apart annular lips extending from a heel portion with a bore extending through the heel portion. A first spring is disposed between the lips, biasing the lips apart. A minor annular body extends from one of the lips of the major annular body. The minor annular body has opposing spaced-apart walls that extend from a base region and form a pocket. A second spring is disposed in the pocket between the spaced-apart walls, biasing the walls apart. During actuator operation, pressurized fluid urges one wall of the minor annular body against a pump head surface to produce a face seal and one of the lips of the major annular body against a rod surface to produce a radial seal.
