    摘要: A lockable telescopic actuator arranged to be in a locked state or in an unlocked state, the lockable telescopic actuator including: a body defining a cylindrical cavity; a piston mounted to slide in the cylindrical cavity; and a locking mechanism including a first locking segment, arranged to move from a locked position to an unlocked position. In the locked position the first locking segment is engaged with the piston to prevent the piston from moving. In the unlocked position the first locking segment is disengaged from the piston to allow the piston to move. A first shape memory alloy, SMA, biasing element configured to be extended or compressed such that when the first SMA biasing element is compressed the first locking element is biased into the locked position and when the first SMA bias element is extended the first locking element is biased into the unlocked position.

    摘要: A variable displacement hydraulic device comprising: a housing having an inlet for receiving hydraulic fluid and an outlet for outputting the hydraulic fluid, the housing having a reciprocation axis; a first cylinder positioned in the housing along the reciprocation axis, the first cylinder having a first input for receiving the hydraulic fluid on a first intake stroke and a first output for ejecting the hydraulic fluid on a first exhaust stroke; a first piston positioned for a first reciprocal motion within the first cylinder, the first piston having a first main end exposed to the hydraulic fluid and a second main end coupled to an actuator, the actuator for driving the second main end when coupled to the actuator for causing the first reciprocal motion to induce a first portion of said outputting of the hydraulic fluid; a second cylinder positioned in the first piston along the reciprocation axis, the second cylinder having a second input for receiving the hydraulic fluid on a second intake stroke and a second output for ejecting the hydraulic fluid on a second exhaust stroke; a second piston positioned for a second reciprocal motion within the second cylinder, the second piston having a first secondary end exposed to the hydraulic fluid and a second secondary end coupled to the actuator, the actuator for driving the second secondary end when coupled to the actuator for causing the second reciprocal motion to induce a second portion of said outputting of the hydraulic fluid; and a locking mechanism for inhibiting the first reciprocal motion of the first piston; wherein when engaged the locking mechanism inhibits the first portion of said outputting of the hydraulic fluid by decoupling the first piston from the actuator while continued operation of the actuator provides the second portion of said outputting of the hydraulic fluid by the second piston.

    摘要: Hydraulic cylinders include a number of features that are useful in a number of industries. The great advantage telescopic cylinders have over any other type of cylinders is their ability to provide an exceptionally long stroke from a compact initial package. Controlling the extension and retraction of the stages of a telescoping cylinder mitigates mis-staging, which is an unwanted result of some telescoping cylinders. Spherical bearings at the end mount of cylinders, either telescoping or not, can be cleaned using scrapers, which will extend the life of the bearings in the field. The rods of cylinders, either telescoping or not, can also be cleaned with additional scrapers at key locations to further remove unwanted and potentially damaging material that can build up on the rods, such as due to the environment of use for the cylinders.

Embodiments can include a two-reservoir re-pressurization system wherein a remote reservoir is used to maintain desired pressure in a local ejector reservoir. The system can include a release valve having a vent valve and valve piston. The release valve can control release of pressurized gas to a pitch control valve. The pitch control valve can be configured to distribute the pressurized gas between two or more ejector piston assemblies. One or more of the ejector piston assemblies can include multiple concentric piston stages and piston chambers, the piston chambers configured to contain a volume of gas. The ejector piston assemblies can be configured to compress the volume of gas within the piston chambers as the piston stages are extended out from the aircraft. Such compression can provide a return force to the piston stages.
