    Abstract: A tower fan has a shell, and the shell has a bottom plate, an outlet structure disposed on the bottom plate, and a top plate disposed on the outlet structure. The outlet structure has a shell plate module, an inlet module, and a guiding column each made by aluminum extrusion. The inlet module is detachably mounted on the bottom plate, and the top plate is configured to engage with the inlet module. The outlet structure is modular and is made by aluminum extrusion, which not only improves efficiency and convenience of detaching the shell but also decreases difficulties and costs of manufacturing the shell. The shell of the tower fan can further have multiple outlet structures disposed in mirror symmetry and multiple fan modules each corresponding to a respective outlet structure. Tower fans with double or more air volume can be provided without making extra molds.

    Abstract: In a vacuum pump in which the rotor blade in one stage has an outer diameter that is smaller at an outlet port side, or the rotor blade in one stage has an inner diameter that is larger at an outlet port side, at least one of an outer circumference portion or an inner circumference portion of the stator blade that is located immediately above the rotor blade having a smaller outer diameter or immediately above the rotor blade having a larger inner diameter has a tapered surface sloping down to an outlet port side. By providing the tapered surface, entering molecules are reflected at a right angle, sent toward an inner circumference side, and hit by the rotor blade in the upper stage. The molecules are thus sent to a next exhaustion stage.

    Abstract: An actuation device for a pump assembly such as for application in a can of a pump assembly for force impingement of a shaft situated in the can. The device includes a carrier for connection to the can and a passage extending along a longitudinal axis. An actuation pin is led in the passage along a longitudinal axis and has a first axial end including a tool receiver and a an opposite second axial end including an engagement region for force transmission onto a shaft. A spring element is arranged between the actuation pin and the carrier and impinges the actuation pin with a spring force in a first axial end direction. A seal is arranged between the carrier and the actuation pin, in a region between the spring element and the second axial end. A pump assembly with such an actuation device is also provided.

    Abstract: A motor cooling system for a simply supported compressor includes a rotor shaft 24 having a first end 26 and a second end 28. The rotor shaft 24 includes an axial bore 60 and a plurality of shaft radial holes 64 extending from a first end of the axial bore 60, wherein a cooling medium is supplied to the axial bore 60. The cooling system further includes a rotor 22 coupled to the rotor shaft 24 and having a plurality of rotor axial holes 25 and a plurality of rotor radial holes 27. The plurality of rotor radial holes 27 extends from the plurality of rotor axial holes 25. A refrigerant dam 70 is arranged adjacent a first end of the rotor 22 and includes a plurality of dam axial holes 74 fluidly coupled to an interior cavity 72. The dam axial holes 74 align with the rotor axial holes 25 and the interior cavity 72 aligns with the shaft radial holes 64 to form a flow path between the rotor shaft 24 and the rotor 22.

    Abstract: Provided are a vacuum pump part and a vacuum pump suitable for performing adequately the processing of forming a coating on the surface of a fiber-reinforced composite material. In a vacuum pump part, a plating layer, which is a coating serving as a coating layer, is formed on the surface of a second cylindrical member of a cylindrical shape which is constituted by a fiber-reinforced composite material. The plating layer is formed through a removal processing step for removing a surface portion including a parting agent layer from the surface of the second cylindrical member of a cylindrical shape, and a roughening step for roughening a surface of the second cylindrical member after the surface portion including the parting agent layer has been removed.
