摘要： A dynamically controlled cooling device for targeted cooling of a moving or stationary user includes a fan, which is rotationally mounted to a base, and a targeting device, which is in possession of the user. A first actuator is attached to the base and is operationally engaged to the fan to selectively rotate the fan. A control module is operationally engaged to the first actuator and the fan. The control module comprises a first receiver, which is Global Positioning System (GPS) enabled, and a second receiver. The targeting device comprises a third receiver, which is GPS enabled, and a transmitter. The first receiver and the third receiver receive coordinates of the fan and the user, respectively. The transmitter relays the coordinates of the user to the control module, whereupon the control module to actuates the fan and the first actuator to direct a stream of air onto the user.

摘要： In one aspect, a fan assembly is provided that can be manufactured while producing a significantly reduced amount of scrap material. More specifically, the fan assembly utilizes a hub ring and one or more hub strips to support a plurality of blades rather than a solid center disc or end disc used by some prior approaches. In another aspect, a method is provided that includes bending a member into an annular configuration and joining end portions of the member together to rigidly fix the member in the annular configuration. The rigid annular member may be used as an end ring, a hub ring, an orifice, or other component, while producing significantly less scrap material than traditional approaches.

摘要： A double inlet blower wheel has a plurality of blades having at least one notch. A center disk has an outer diameter and a plurality of slots disposed about a circumference. The slots extend inwardly from the outer diameter of the center disk. The center disk has roll-over tabs for each of the slots, wherein each of the blades engages a respective one of the slots. The plurality of blades are fully encapsulated about a periphery, where an edge of the blades defines a blower wheel outer diameter, where the outer diameter of the center disk is less than the blower wheel outer diameter. A support disk is coupled to a central region of the center disk, providing a greater thickness of the center disk and adds rigidity to the center disk. A pair of inlet rings also respectively secures opposing ends of each of said plurality of blades.

On each blade, a radius of a pressure surface arc is greater than a radius of a suction surface arc, a radius of an inner peripheral side arc is greater than a radius of an outer peripheral side arc, and a region of maximum thickness is located 40% to 60% from the inner peripheral side arc in the lengthwise direction. The blades are disposed such that the inner peripheral side arcs are positioned on an inner peripheral side of the support plate and the outer peripheral side arcs are positioned on an outer peripheral side of the support plate. A flow path width between the plurality of blades gradually decreases from the inner peripheral side toward the outer peripheral side of the support plate.
