摘要: A compressor wheel for a compressor of a turbocharger has a hub (16) and a multiplicity of blades (12) on the hub (16). In intermediate spaces of the multiplicity of blades (12), a channel is in each case formed between a suction side (24) and a pressure side (26). The channel guides fluid that flows in axially in relation to a rotation axis (22) radially or radially-axially outward. The hub (16) in relation to the rotation axis (22) in at least one channel is contoured with a rotationally symmetrical portion (18′) and a non-rotationally symmetrical portion (18). The non-rotationally symmetrical portion (18) is formed by radii that are variable in the flow direction, and a transition region (28) between the hub (16) and the blade (12) adjoins the non-rotationally symmetrical portion (18).

摘要: A supercharger is provided with: a housing; a rotary shaft that is supported inside the housing to be freely rotatable; a compressor wheel that is provided at one end in an axial direction of the rotary shaft; a cooling water supplying pipe and a cooling water discharging pipe that have a flange part at an end and are connected to the housing; and a lubricant supplying pipe that has a flange part at an end and is connected to the housing. The ends of the cooling water supplying pipe and the cooling water discharging pipe are inserted into a cooling water supplying flow path and a cooling water discharging flow path of the housing, respectively. The end of the lubricant supplying pipe is inserted into a first supplying flow path of the housing. The flange part presses the flange parts in an insertion direction and is fixed to the housing.

摘要: A shaft seal structure including a housing having an insertion hole through which a shaft can be inserted, a cylindrical thin plate that is flexible and placed in the insertion hole, and a support arranged between the housing and the thin plate. The support elastically supports the thin plate. The thin plate has an inner peripheral surface facing an outer peripheral surface of the shaft with a gap formed between the inner peripheral surface and the shaft. The support prevents a fluid from flowing in a direction along the shaft.

The memory stores instructions that program the processor to operate the motor to compress the working fluid at a motor speed greater than a predicted minimum surge speed plus a control margin, determine when surge events have occurred, store, in the memory, an indication of each surge event that the processor determined to have occurred, and determine whether or not to take a protective action when the processor determines that a surge event has occurred.

摘要: A controlled area progression diffuser for a compressor may be defined by a bearing diffuser face of a bearing housing and a compressor diffuser face of a compressor housing that are spaced apart by a diffuser width, and airflow from a compressor wheel enters the controlled area progression diffuser through a diffuser inlet, flows between the diffuser faces, and flows out of a diffuser outlet to a volute. The diffuser faces may be shaped so that the diffuser width decreases as the controlled area progression diffuser extends radially away from the compressor wheel toward the volute so that an annulus area of the controlled area progression diffuser does not increase linearly for at least a portion of a radial length of the controlled area progression diffuser.
