Abstract:
There is provided a polymer or derivative thereof comprising a plurality of active amine groups in the backbone, wherein the polymer is a reaction product of a reaction between one or more bis-carbonates and one or more amine compounds having at least two terminal amino groups. Also provided are use of the polymer or derivative thereof and a method of preparing the polymer or derivative thereof.
Abstract:
A lubricating oil comprises a base oil; and an anti-degradation additive comprising microcapsules, nanocapsules, or a combination comprising at least one of the foregoing; the microcapsules and the nanocapsules each independently having a core of a neutralizing material and a polymeric encapsulant configured to release the neutralizing material in an acidic environment by breaking crosslinks or hydrogen bonds in the polymeric encapsulant. The released neutralizing material can prevent the formation of viscous, high molecular weight molecules thus enhancing the lifetime of the lubricating oil and improving its reliability.
Abstract:
This relates to the coating of air bags, which are used for safety purposes to protect occupants of vehicles such as automobiles, and of air bag fabrics intended to be made into air bags. In particular the invention relates to the top coating of air bags and air bag fabrics which have been pre-coated with a cured organic resin coating composition. The top-coat is an anti-blocking coating composition comprising at least one solid lubricant dispersed in an organic polymer binder. A process for applying the top-coat is also described.
Abstract:
A carbon fiber surface oiling agent changing method includes providing a raw material step; performing a desizing step; performing a plasma surface treatment step; and performing a sizing step. In the plasma surface treatment step, the impurities that originally adhere to the surface of the carbon fiber can be broken to form small molecules and blown away through the physical and chemical reaction of the plasma gas flow, enabling the surface of the carbon fiber to be roughened and provided with functional groups, which is beneficial to achieve high-quality interface bonding of the carbon fiber and the matrix resin in the subsequent sizing step, thereby enhancing the characteristics of carbon fiber composite materials.

Abstract:
The present invention provides a steel wire rod including a lubricating coating film, which can reconcile workabilities such as wire drawability, spike property, ball ironing property and film removability, and corrosion resistance such as long-term rust prevention property. The steel wire rod includes a lubricating coating film on a surface, wherein the lubricating coating film contains a water-soluble silicate and a water-soluble tungstate, a mass ratio of water-soluble tungstate/water-soluble silicate being in a range of 0.7 to 10, and contains no phosphorus
Abstract:
The invention relates to a process for producing polyoxymethylene block copolymers, comprising the step of activating the DMC catalyst in the presence of an OH-terminated polymeric formaldehyde starter compound by means of a defined amount of alkylene oxide, optionally followed by polymerization with alkylene oxides, if necessary in the presence of other comonomers. The invention further relates to polyoxymethylene block copolymers that can be obtained by means of such a process and to the use of these for producing polyurethane polymers.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to new and optimized processes for the preparation of micro- and nano-scale capsules containing lubricant chemical additives. The present disclosure also relates to micro- and nano-scale capsules prepared by such processes, which are useful in a variety of applications, including automotive lubricants, diesel lubricants, industrial lubricants, metal-working lubricants, coolants, and process fluids. Micro- and nano-scale capsules prepared as described herein have the required properties that such capsules need to exhibit in order to function effectively and meet the requirements imposed by engine lubrication conditions. The microcapsules may be dispersed in a lubricating oil such that the lubricant exhibits improved stability and anti-wear performance, thereby improving engine fuel efficiency and performance.
Abstract:
A lubricant coating for laser printer wiper blades is a solution applied to a laser printer wiper blade before install that reduces friction between the wiper blade and the photoconductor drum of a laser printer in order to reduce wear, prevent damage and increase life of the wiper blade and photoconductor drum. A leveling and wetting agent ensures uniform application and reduces coating defects. An anti-wear agent reduces friction and acts as an electrical insulator. A friction reducing agent also reduces friction and acts as an electrical insulator. An evaporation promoting agent aids in evaporation of unnecessary material after application to a wiper blade. A coating enhancing agent increases the hardness of the coating and provides assistance in adherence of the solution to the wiper blade. Deionized water acts as a carrier. The solution is mixed in a high shear mixture.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for preparing metal workpieces for cold forming by applying a lubricant layer either to a metal surface or to a metal surface which has been pre-coated with e.g., a conversion coating. The lubricant layer is formed by contacting the surface with an aqueous lubricant composition which has a content in at least two waxes having distinct properties and a content in organic polymer material, the organic polymer material used predominantly being monomers, oligomers, co-oligomers, polymers and copolymers based on ionomer, acrylic acid/methacrylic acid, epoxide, ethylene, propylene, styrene, urethane, the ester or salt thereof. The invention to the corresponding lubricant composition, to the lubricant layer produced thereof and to its use.
