Abstract:
A polymeric material mixture comprising a fluorine-containing polymer, a siloxane polymer, and at least two polymer processing additives (PPA), wherein the at least two polymer processing additives have different chemistries. For example, there can be a flexible coextruded pipe for providing a protective housing for cables, fluids, sludge or solids, the pipe comprising a pair of telescopically related inner and outer layers, where said inner layer is lubricated with the polymeric material mixture.
Abstract:
In a threaded joint for pipes constituted by a pin and a box, each having a contact surface comprising a threaded portion and an unthreaded metal contact portion, the contact surface of the pin has a solid corrosion protective, preferably transparent coating based on a UV-curable resin and the contact surface of the box has a solid lubricating coating having plastic or viscoplastic rheological behavior which is preferably formed by the hot melt technique from a composition comprising a thermoplastic polymer, a wax, a metal soap, a corrosion inhibitor, a water-insoluble liquid resin, and a solid lubricant.
Abstract:
An anti-vibration rubber member includes: a rubber elastic body that is made of a self-lubricating rubber containing an elastomer and a bleeding lubricant; a coating film that covers at least a portion of a sliding inner surface that is a surface of the rubber elastic body disposed on an inner side of a sliding surface, contains a resin having a mercapto group and a solid lubricant containing polytetrafluoroethylene particles and ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene particles, and is deformable to follow up deformation of the rubber elastic body; and a lubricating film that covers at least a portion of a surface of the coating film, is formed by including the bleeding lubricant having penetrated the coating film from the rubber elastic body and oozing onto the surface of the coating film, and forms at least a portion of the sliding surface.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a non-flammable, anti-corrosive, non-discoloring product which has both penetrating and lubricating characteristics and is prepared with a non-flammable propellant that does not emit volatile organic compounds, but does replace water, and to a process for producing the same.
Abstract:
A refrigerant composition is disclosed which includes lubricants. The refrigerant composition includes formulations for use in automotive, residential or building air conditioning units. The refrigerant composition includes 25% to 35% by weight of a refrigerant, 60% to 70% by weight of a lubricating oil, and 0.5% to 10% by weight of polytetrafluoroethylene particles. The polytetrafluoroethylene particles range in size from 0.2 &mgr;m to 8.0 &mgr;m.
Abstract:
A high performance lubricant that includes a silicone wax that has been dissolved in solvent, emulsified or suspended in an inert carrier is described. In addition, a method is discussed of lubricating the solid surfaces of moving parts with a relatively water resistant, dry lubricant. The lubricant repels water and sheds dirt. Thus, this lubricant is particularly useful for lubricating high performance products that are used in a dirty environment.
Abstract:
A drive arrangement for an electrically driven vehicle includes an electric motor that is configured to accelerate the vehicle, the electric motor has a rotor, which is arranged inside a stator having stator windings and is arranged on a rotor shaft. The drive arrangement also includes a drive shaft coupled to a drive wheel of the vehicle, and a shaft coupling that transmits torque output by the rotor shaft such that said torque is conducted to the drive shaft, wherein the shaft coupling has a torque receiving element that receives the torque output by the electric motor, and a torque output element that is mechanically coupled to the torque receiving element and outputs the torque in a direction of the drive shaft. An electrically insulating grease is arranged between the torque receiving element and the torque output element.
Abstract:
Provided are low coefficient of friction fluoropolymer one coat coatings having a relatively low bake temperature. The fluoropolymer coatings contain high temperature resistant polymer binder, low melting tetrafluoroethylene/hexafluoropropylene copolymer having a melting point of below 255° C. by the method of ASTM D 4591, and low molecular weight polytetrafluoroethylene having a heat of crystallization of at least about 50 J/g.
