Abstract:
The invention relates to an anti-friction coating (11, 12, 41, 42, 43) and an anti-friction coating composite (10) comprising at least 25 vol. % of a binder (16) and comprising fillers, which include zinc sulfide (18) and barium sulfate (20) and optionally additional fillers, wherein the volume ratio of barium sulfate (20) to zinc sulfide (18) is between 0.1 and 15.7, preferably between 0.8 and 4.88, and particularly preferably between 1.5 and 3.44. The anti-friction coating composite (10,40) comprises at least two anti-friction coatings (11, 13) of different compositions. The invention further relates to sliding bearing layered composite materials comprising such coatings and use thereof in internal combustion engines.
Abstract:
Antifoam compositions for functional fluids contain antifoam agents comprising perfluoropolyether compounds (PFPE). An automatic transmission fluid is provided containing the antifoam composition in a lubricating base oil, along with conventional additives such as antiwear agents. Automobile transmissions are provided that contain an automatic transmission fluid containing the new antifoam compositions. In a further embodiment, methods are provided for reducing foam in an engine oil or unwanted noise in an automobile transmission during operation, comprising lubricating the engine or transmission with a lubricating fluid containing the antifoam compositions of the invention.
Abstract:
A polymeric material mixture comprising a fluorine-containing polymer, a siloxane polymer, and at least two polymer processing additives (PPA), wherein the at least two polymer processing additives have different chemistries. For example, there can be a flexible coextruded pipe for providing a protective housing for cables, fluids, sludge or solids, the pipe comprising a pair of telescopically related inner and outer layers, where said inner layer is lubricated with the polymeric material mixture.

Abstract:
A lubrication part serving as a bearing metal is provided in a scroll compressor at a sliding part between a cylindrical part of a slide busing and an extension of a movable scroll. An inner periphery of the lubrication part is formed so that its iron substrate is given a surface roughness Ra of 3.7 μm and a resin layer containing FEP and PTFE is then provided on the roughened substrate surface.

Abstract:
A method for producing a dispersion of polytetrafluoroethylene in lubricating oil or a lubricating oil additive. A non-ionic wetting agent is mixed with a dispersion of polytetrafluoroethylene in oil, and the resulting mixture is subjected to a heat treatment in several zones starting with a shock treatment, and followed by several zones of progressively lower temperature.

Abstract:
It is an object of the invention to provide a sliding material composition and a sliding member capable of achieving low friction property at starting time and during sliding and also being excellent in abrasion resistance, especially when a counterpart sliding member is a rubber-based material. The invention relates to a sliding material composition for use in a sliding member whose counterpart sliding member is configured of rubber, the sliding material composition comprising a binder resin, 5 to 25 vol % of an Nω-monoacyl basic amino acid, 5 to 25 vol % of molybdenum disulfide, and 5 to 20 vol % of polytetrafluoroethylene.
