摘要: A process for the manufacturing of a polymer with urethane groups can be performed. In a first alternative a five-membered cyclic monothiocarbonate, a compound with at least two amino groups selected from primary or secondary amino groups, and a compound with at least two function groups that react with a —SH group are reacted. In a second alternative a five-membered cyclic monothiocarbonate and a compound with at least one primary or secondary amino group, and at least one function group that reacts with an —SH group are reacted.

Also provided is a method of removing the crosslinks of a crosslinked PHU polymer comprising a plurality of diene-dienophile adducts.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a method for making a non-isocyanate polyurethane (NIPU) foam, where the method includes decomposing a blowing agent having at least one of an amine carbamate salt and/or an amine bicarbonate salt to form a diamine and CO2 in the presence of a molecule comprising a plurality of cyclic carbonate functional groups and reacting the diamine with at least a portion of the cyclic carbonate functional groups to form the NIPU foam. In some embodiments of the present disclosure, the reacting and the decomposing may occur at substantially the same rate.

摘要: Bio-based polymer precursors and non-isocyanate polyurethanes (NIPU) and non-isocyanate polyurethane foams (NIPUF) that can be formed from the precursors, as well as methods for the synthesis of the precursors and the polyurethane products are described. The bio-based polymer precursors are formed through functionalization of a bio-based polyol, e.g., lignin, with cyclic carbonates. The bio-based polyol starting materials need not be pre-processed and can include Kraft lignin. NIPU/NIPUF can be synthesized through a ring opening curing reaction of cyclic carbonates of the bio-based polyol precursor with diamines. The carbonates and diamines can include non-toxic bio-based carbonates.

摘要: The present invention provides a resin composition for an adhesive, being useful as a component of an adhesive having a favorable adhesion property to glass and giving favorable appearance after adhesion. The resin composition for an adhesive contains a polyhydroxyurethane resin. This polyhydroxyurethane resin contains a structural unit formed by polymerizing a compound (A) having at least two five-membered cyclic carbonate structures and a compound (B) having at least two primary amino groups, the polyurethane resin contains a urethane bond, a hydroxy group, and a secondary amino group in the structural unit. Further, this polyhydroxyurethane resin has an amine number of 1 to 50 mgKOH/g and has a hydroxyl number of 10 to 230 mgKOH/g.

摘要: A method of preparing a composition for a one-package (1 K) waterborne non isocyanate polyurethane epoxy hybrid coating includes providing a cyclic carbonate; combining the cyclic carbonate with an internal emulsifier and a diamine to thereby obtain a non-isocyanate polyurethane (NIPU) prepolymer; subjecting the NIPU prepolymer to chain extension by combining the NIPU prepolymer with an epoxy resin, to thereby obtain a chain extended NIPU polymer; subjecting the chain extended NIPU polymer to neutralization by combining the chain extended NIPU polymer with a neutralizing agent, to thereby obtain a neutralized NIPU polymer; and dispersing the neutralized NIPU polymer in water to thereby provide a waterborne NIPU liquid dispersion.
