摘要: A method of preparing a high performance low isocyanate polyurethane top coating effective to protect external architectural surfaces and substantially minimizing applicator exposure to isocyanates, including: providing an amount of compound A chosen from a fluoroethylene vinyl ether (FEVE) moiety of formula (I); providing an amount of Compound B chosen from a silane functional isocyanate of general formula (II); where compound A and compound B are present in a stoichiometric ratio of 1:1; providing an effective amount of a catalyst of compound C; introducing compounds A and B into a reaction vessel and stirring the compounds in an inert atmosphere at a predetermined temperature and a predetermined time; where the resultant silane functional FEVE resin is substantially free of unreacted isocyanate.

摘要: A polyurethane dispersion is an aqueous dispersion of a polyurethane resin. The polyurethane resin is a reaction product of an isocyanate group-terminated prepolymer and a chain extender. The isocyanate group-terminated prepolymer includes a reaction product of a polyisocyanate component containing a xylylene diisocyanate, and an active hydrogen group-containing component containing a short-chain diol having 2 to 6 carbon atoms and an active hydrogen group-containing compound containing a hydrophilic group. The chain extender includes an ethylenediamine. A ratio of the ethylenediamine is 25 mol % or more with respect to the total amount of the chain extender.

摘要: Provided are a composition capable of forming a cured product with excellent hardness, scratch resistance, chemical resistance, and flexibility; and a polyisocyanate compound that can be used as a curing agent for the composition. The polyisocyanate compound is represented by Formula (1), wherein R1 to R3 are identical or different and are a group represented by Formula (1a), wherein L1 and L2 are identical or different and represent an alkylene group having from 1 to 10 carbons, m represents a number of 0 or greater, L3 represents a divalent hydrocarbon group having from 4 to 18 carbons, and X represents an isocyanate group or a blocked isocyanate group blocked with a blocking agent, where m is not simultaneously 0 for R1 to R3, and the bond with the wavy line bonds to a nitrogen atom in Formula (1). In addition, the composition contains a polyisocyanate compound and a polyacrylic polyol.

摘要: A laminate according to the present invention comprises, in the following order: a substrate (3); a primer layer (2) formed from a resin; and a colloidal crystal layer (1) that develops color due to light interference, wherein the resin, which forms the primer layer (2), has a glass transition point in the range of −35 to 100° C., the colloidal crystal layer (1) includes core-shell-type resin fine particles (4) and achromatic black fine particles (8), and has voids (7). The core-shell-type resin fine particles (4) each include a shell in an amount of 10-150 mass % with respect to the mass of a core, and the shell has a glass transition point in the range of −60 to 40° C. The colloidal crystal layer (1) has a thickness in the range of 0.5-100 μm.
