摘要: The present invention relates to a middle-pressure polymerization process for the preparation of a liquid ethylene copolymer which comprises in polymerized form 20 to 60 wt % of ethylene; and at least 20 wt % of an acrylate, which is selected from C1-C22 alkyl (meth)acrylate, where a monomer mix comprising the ethylene and the acrylate is polymerized at a pressure of 50 to 400 bar and in the presence of at least 2 wt % of a chain transfer agent. The invention further relates to a liquid ethylene copolymer obtainable by the polymerization process; and to a lubricant comprising the liquid ethylene copolymer obtainable by the polymerization process; and to a method for reducing friction between moving surfaces comprising the step of contacting the surfaces with the lubricant or with the ethylene copolymer.

摘要: The present invention relates to polymers used as rolling lubricating agents, to compositions comprising said polymers, and to alkali metal films including the polymers or compositions on the surface(s) thereof. The use of said polymers and compositions is also described for strip-rolling alkali metals or alloys thereof in order to obtain thin films. Methods for producing said thin films, which are suitable for use in electrochemical cells, are also described. The present invention proposes an improved lubricant according to formula I, which, for example, achieves enhanced conductivity, and/or enables the production of electrochemical cells having an improved life span in cycles.

摘要: Defoaming compounds that can be included in a HVAC system are provided. In some embodiments, the refrigerant compositions and/or additives may include one or more defoaming compounds that have one or more of the following properties: helping reduce a surface tension of the lubricant and/or refrigerant; having a different surface tension than the lubricant and/or refrigerant; being substantially non-dissolvable with the refrigerant and/or lubricant; and/or having less dense than the refrigerant and/or lubricant so that the compounds may stay on the surface of the refrigerant and/or lubricant. In some embodiments, the defoaming compounds may be selected from mineral oil, silicone based oil, fatty alcohols, fatty acids, alky amines, treated silica, aluminum oxide, polyacrylates, acrylate esters polypropylene, alkyl sulfates, alkyl ethoxylate sulfates, alkyl aryl sulfonates, phosphate esters, quaternary ammonium compounds, fatty amine salts, fatty acid amides, alkyl phenol ethoxylates, ethoxylate-propoxylate polymers and fatty alcohol ethoxylates.

摘要: This invention relates to a lubricating composition comprising at least about 30% by weight at least one mineral oil, having a kinematic viscosity of less than about 8 cSt at 100null C., (A) from about 15% to about 40% by weight of at least one polymer, and (B) up to about 30% by weight of at least one fluidizing agent, provided that when the fluidizing agent is a polynull-olefin is present in an amount up about 2 to about 30 cSt at 100null C., then the polynull-olefin is present in an amount up to about 12% by weight, wherein the lubricating composition has a shear loss of less than about 15% in the 20 hour taper bearing shear test. The invention also relates to concentrates used in preparing lubricating compositions. The present combination of components provides good low and high temperature properties especially when used in combination with one or more mineral oils. In one aspect, the compositions provide improved oxidation resistance.

摘要: Abstract of DisclosureA process is disclosed for manufacturing a lubricant composition comprising combining a superabsorbent polymer with a material for decreasing friction between moving surfaces. The superabsorbent polymer absorbs from about 25 to greater than 100 times its weight in water and may comprise a polymer of acrylic acid, and acrylic ester, acrylonitrile or acrylamide, including co-polymers thereof or starch graft copolymers thereof or mixtures thereof. A product produced by the process includes the material for decreasing friction comprising a petroleum lubricant containing an additive, water containing an additive, synthetic lubricant, grease, solid lubricant or metal working lubricant, wherein the synthetic lubricant, grease, solid lubricant or metal working lubricant optionally contain an additive. A process comprising controlling the delivery of a lubricant to at least one of two moving surfaces in order to decrease friction between said moving surfaces, is also disclosed. This process includes applying the lubricant composition to at least one of the surfaces. The lubricant composition in this instance comprises a superabsorbant polymer combined with a material for decreasing friction between moving surfaces, wherein the material for decreasing friction comprises a petroleum lubricant, water, synthetic lubricant, grease, solid lubricant or metal working lubricant, and optionally an additive.

摘要: A process is disclosed for manufacturing a lubricant composition comprising combining a superabsorbent polymer a with a material for decreasing friction between moving surfaces. The superabsorbent polymer absorbs from about 25 to greater than 100 times its weight in water and may comprise a polymer of acrylic acid, an acrylic ester, acrylonitrile or acrylamide, including co-polymers thereof or starch graft co-polymers thereof or mixtures thereof. A product produced by the process includes the material for decreasing friction comprising a petroleum lubricant containing an additive, water containing an additive, synthetic lubricant, grease, solid lubricant or metal working lubricant, wherein the synthetic lubricant, grease, solid lubricant or metal working lubricant optionally contain an additive. A process comprising controlling the delivery of a lubricant to at least one of two moving surfaces in order to decrease friction between said moving surfaces, is also disclosed. This process includes applying the lubricant composition to at least one of the surfaces. The lubricant composition in this instance comprises a superabsorbent polymer combined with a material for decreasing friction between moving surfaces, wherein the material for decreasing friction comprises a petroleum lubricant, water, synthetic lubricant, grease, solid lubricant or metal working lubricant, and optionally an additive.

摘要: Embodiments herein relate to polyacrylic acid containing lubricious coatings for medical devices. In an embodiment, a lubricious coated medical device is included having a substrate and a first layer disposed over the substrate. The first layer can include a photoreactive polyvinylpyrrolidone, a non-photoreactive polyvinylpyrrolidone, and a crosslinking compound. A second layer can be disposed over the first layer, the second layer can include a poly(acrylic acid), and a non-photoreactive polyvinylpyrrolidone. The non-photoreactive polyvinylpyrrolidone of the second layer forms a complex with the poly(acrylic acid) of the second layer. The non-photoreactive polyvinylpyrrolidone of the second layer has a concentration existing as a gradient through a thickness of the second layer with a lower concentration at an outer surface of the second layer than at an inner surface of the second layer. Other embodiments are also included herein.
