The compositions disclosed can have a matrix-forming component, a solid-aggregate material, and a rheology modifying agent, wherein the matrix-forming component includes at least alkyl cyanoacrylate monomers, a stabilizer, and a plasticizer, and the solid-aggregate material includes at least a radiopacifier. The composition and a method of administering the composition are useful for treating vasculature abnormalities, particularly when the composition solidifies upon contact with an ionic environment, such as blood.

A process for preparing polymeric microgel by aqueous dispersion polymerization techniques is disclosed. The emulsion can be inverted into organic diluent, and the water removed to form a dispersion of the microgel in the organic diluent. The microgel can be formulated into coating compositions where it improves the sag resistance and metallic pigment pattern control of the coating composition.

A method for the vinyl polymerization of a mixture comprising a polyanhydride resin such as the copolymer of maleic anhydride and 1-hexene or styrene, an olefinically unsaturated monooxirane compound such as glycidyl methacrylate and an olefinically unsaturated hydrocarbon capable of polymerization by free radical means such as styrene at a temperature of about 80* to about 120* C. without significant anhydride-epoxide reaction. A chemical free radical initiator such as benzoyl peroxide is used for the vinyl polymerization. The resulting composition is capable of being mold cured, particularly when in combination with a substrate such as fiber glass, by reaction of the anhydride and epoxide groups to a solid, infusible resin.

A process for producing a curable resin comprises reacting (a) at least one cyanate ester compound selected from the group consisting of polyfunctional cyanate esters having 2 or more cyanato groups per one molecule, prepolymers of the cyanate esters or mixtures thereof with (b) at least one compound having 1,2-epoxy group(s) and radical-polymerizable unsaturated double bond(s) in its molecule, the cyanate ester compound (a) and the compound (b) being used so that the ratio of the cyanato group to the 1,2-epoxy group is in the range of about 1:0.25 to about 1:2, in the presence of (c) a radical polymerization inhibitor at a temperature of about 90.degree.--about 140.degree. C.The curable resin produced according to the present invention is capable of giving cured products having excellent heat resistance and electrical properties.

A process for the production of molded product composed of transparent resin having highly cured cross-linked structure comprises the following three steps:1. the step incorporating a ring-opening and cross-linking catalyst in the initial monomer composition, followed by vinyl-polymerizing the initial monomer composition in a mold into a vinyl polymer at 90% or more conversion by irradiating said composition with an ionizing radiation at such a low temperature that said catalyst is not decomposed,2. the step molding the vinyl polymer thus obtained into the desired shape, and3. the step heating the molded product at a temperature of from about 50.degree. C to about 200.degree. C to highly-cure the molded polymer product by the introduction of cross-linking.
